Couqley French Bistro is, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Dubai.
From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect—the ambiance, the attentive service, and, of course, the absolutely incredible food. My husband, who was born in Belgium, enjoyed it so much that it brought him back to cherished memories of authentic European dining.
We started with the steak tartare and spinach ravioli as appetizers, and both were phenomenal. The portions were generous, and we were already feeling full, but the food was so good that we couldn’t resist trying more.
For the main course, I had the salmon with mashed potatoes, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My husband went for the steak frites, and he couldn’t stop raving about how tender and flavorful it was.
Finally, we ended the meal with the pain perdu, and wow—1000/10! It was the best French toast we’ve ever had, perfectly balanced and not overly sweet.
Thank you, Couqley, for making our evening so memorable. This is a place we’ll return to again and again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional French dining...
Read moreA great authentic French venue, located in JLT. Beautiful decor giving a proper French feel, with friendly and professional staff, being welcomed in with a smile. Served quickly, the dining experience was great from start to finish. We dined as a 4 for lunch and chose the business lunch offer, which is around 109 AED for 2 courses. We all ordered the Steak Frites, and the steak was cooked perfectly, with all of us requesting different steak options. Food was served quickly and bread provided beforehand. For desert we shared the crème brûlée and chocolate fondant. Both were declicous and could not be faulted. The crème brûlée is easily big enough for two people to share. Drinks slightly on the pricey side for cocktails. Overall a great visit. It would be good to see if Emirates Platinum or another app could be offered or if a loyalty program existed to encourage return visits. However we would come back. Parking at JLT is also tricky, with times finding a space difficult, would recommend taking a taxi if visiting...
Read moreOrdered: steak frites Delicious Comes with a salad, fries and the meat The meat is a bit hard (although it was medium rare) — I didn’t like how hard it was but it was delicious The fries and the salad were delicious The meat sauce was a bit overloaded 😅 had to keep removing Their prices are a bit high — among the least expensive dishes was the steak frites It is a cozy spot though The staff are very alert and they are constantly looking around The brown bread was delicious I loved their butter presentation and how easy it was to grab it and place it on the bread Bread was warm; right temperature; beautiful. I wouldn’t mind going again for more bread and butter I liked that they give a steak knife
Overall; it’s a good place. I will recommend it, but not on a daily basis Certainly there are other places with better beef at a similar or reduced price.
For me it was 100-150 because only the dish; but again, if I ordered a drink probably would’ve been 150-200 (or if I ordered a more...
