Lacking the ability to leave 0 stars, this grudgingly-given 1 will have to suffice. This place is not worth the cab ride out. Bar was empty when we arrived, excepting a very loud and rowdy group of 8 people. When we asked to be seated slightly further away from this group in order to hear each other, it was flatly refused. Again - bar was empty. Drinks, at 70 dizz a pop, were truly atrocious. One was so tooth achingly sweet it was undrinkable (and I will masochistically grit my teeth and down almost anything for that price), and their spin on a Manhattan was marginally better only because it actually tasted like it had alcohol in it (which we were in desperate need of by this stage). As for the cool speakeasy vibe… it was neither cool nor easy. Outback Steakhouse is basically a darling of Australian culture compared to this pace trying to invoke prohibition New York. In short - for this kind of money, go to ROKA or Zuma and actually...
Read moreI think it’s a lovely place to come and enjoy an evening of live music (not a full band though). The lady who sings there has an immaculate voice and puts in the extra effort to engage with the crowd and take requests. It’s quite a small space and the music does get loud. If you’re looking for a spot to have conversations it’s probably not the best. The whole venue is a smoking space so keep that in mind. You’ll probably end up leaving smelling like an ash tray. The food menu consists of finger foods and small bites only so don’t come in thinking you’ll get a full meal. Lastly service was fine initially but our table kept getting approached by multiple waiters who kept taking the same order and it got quite confusing as to who was actually serving us. We also thought we may get charged multiple times for the same order but that wasn’t the case after double checking the final bill. I’d say the food and alcohol is slightly on the...
Read moreFantastic evening.
From the get go all actors/actresses played it very well and the singing was brilliant.
Food portions were small, but very tasty.
Waitresses were very good at topping up our glasses all evening (the signature cocktail was lovely).
The interaction of the singers walking around the tables and talking to the guests so we could get more clues of who committed the crime was very exciting, their American accents were on point!
It was our anniversary and they gave us a complimentary cake and a shoutout on the mic which was a perfect end.
I highly recommend this evening for a fun and different night out. (I do hope they change the Murder Mystery evening to a Friday instead of a Thursday though).
UPDATE- went for the Addams family murder mystery night and was not disappointed again, it was more of a clubby party vibe this time but...
