Weāve been to Manaret Beirut recently (12 peoples) and honestly, it was kind of a mixed experience. First, the place is tucked inside the parking lot of Lulu Hypermarket, so finding it isnāt super easy. All of us had to go around multiple times to search for a parking. So Parking is a bit of a pain, you eventually have to pay for valet since there arenāt really open spots around.
There are two sections, which is nice: one for non-smokers and a closed-off section for smokers. But honestly, the smoking area isnāt that comfortable ā itās outside (kind of shaded) AC isnāt enough, so you still feel the heat and humidity.
One good thing is they have a kidsā playground area, which is a plus if youāre coming with family. Also, they have an open kitchen setup so you can actually see your food being prepared, which I like.
The food is good, decent quality and tasty, but not something Iād call super special. Prices are on the higher side, probably because of the way they present everything (which looks nice, so I get it).
My biggest issue was the noise. Itās seriously loud in there ā to the point you canāt have a normal conversation without raising your voice. If youāre looking for a quiet spot to chill and talk, this isnāt it.
Donāt expect to have a business lunch/dinner - I donāt think itās the place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Place That Broke My Heart I've visited this restaurant over five times since it opened, holding onto hope that the quality would improve. The decor, the spaciousness, and the ambience are undeniably impressiveābut the food? A constant disappointment.
Mix Raw Plate: A letdown. All three varieties tasted the sameābland and indistinct. The Orfali should have a bold, spicy kick, and the Kibbeh Nayeh should carry its unique spice blend, but there was no distinction between them.
Batata Harra: Completely unbalanced, with an overpowering tangy flavour that overshadowed everything else.
Grilled Halloumi: A dish that should be simple and satisfying, yet it missed the mark. One bite was enough.
Kaak Cheese: The only true highlight. Generous filling, perfectly toastedājust the way it should be.
Hummus: The ultimate test for a Lebanese restaurant, and unfortunately, it failed. On one visit, it was too runny; on another, it was too dry and overloaded with tahini. A serious inconsistency issue.
Thereās a clear need for more attention to the food. While the kaak is outstanding, the rest of the menu struggles to deliver. A beautiful space deserves an equally impressive culinary experience, but until the kitchen refines its execution, this remains a missed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Manaret Beirut, and I must say that the experience was made truly unforgettable by the exceptional service provided by our waiter Mohiedine and the supervisor Abed. From the moment we were seated, they greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Mohiedine knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering thoughtful recommendations tailored to our tastes and preferences. He attended to our table with impeccable timingāalways present when needed, yet never intrusive.
What stood out most was his genuine hospitality. He made sure our dining experience was seamless, checking in regularly to ensure everything was to our liking, and adding a personal touch to the evening. His professionalism combined with a friendly, approachable demeanor created an atmosphere that was both elegant and welcoming.
It's rare to find someone who goes above and beyond in their service with such grace, and our waiter certainly did just that. His dedication to making our evening special truly elevated the entire dining experience. I highly recommend Manaret Beirut, not only for its fantastic cuisine but also for the exceptional hospitality that truly sets it apart. Thank you for making our visit...
