wagamama motor city — Restaurant in Dubai

Came to Wagamama as a party of 3, and the hosting was wonderful, seated straight away. To order, Wagamama were having a lunchtime deal which included a starter, main, sushi and drink for ~149AED which was amazing! The lunchtime deal selected menu did not include everything on the main menu.

Starters: Miso corn, KFC style chicken and squid were lovely. Chilli squid had a lovely crunch and goes very well with dipping oil. The chicken are was very moist.

Sushi: The sushi was amazing, you could tell it was freshly prepared. We had three different types, all very tasty.

Main: Vegetarian Katsu with breaded aubergine and sweet potato was very filling. Both ramen were not very flavourful, quite disappointed (reason for 4 stars). Broth had no flavour, tasted like hot water, therefore all meats and vegetables tasted bland, beef also had no seasoning.

Drinks: Strawberry lemonade was very refreshing and tasty (definitely tasted like strawberry, not watered down).

We were seated outside and there were little flies attracted to our food but the hosts dealt with that quite swiftly by burning some...

I am normally a huge fan of wagumama but was very disappointed with the shrimp gyoza. It tasted like a cheaply made samosa. When I asked the staff they laughed and said they don't make it here but have a supplier that makes it (instead of replacing it with something else, they argued). Furthermore the miso fish ramen tasted like frozen fish. It not only didn't taste like Cod but our son didn't even eat it. Again asking the staff they said sorry. Nothing more than admitting it was bad. I've been going to wagumama for over 20 years but am afraid I'll avoid this particular location until some better training gets done! The staff however were very efficient to take away all the uneaten poorly tasting food promptly but didn't know how to deal with any real issues. Outstanding Experience at Wagamama, Motor City

We had an incredible dining experience at Wagamama in Motor City. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a modern yet cozy vibe that made me feel right at home. The menu had an amazing variety of dishes, and each one was bursting with fresh flavors and vibrant presentation.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Mou. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. From his warm smile to his spot-on recommendations, he made the meal even more enjoyable.
