O'Doner Review
Food:
Mix Hot Appetizer Platter: A delightful array of flavors and textures, perfect for sharing. The falafel was crispy on the outside and tender inside, the borek was savory and satisfying, and the cheese rolls were gooey and delicious. The accompanying sauces elevated the experience.
Mix Kebab Platter: The kebabs were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. From succulent chicken to flavorful lamb, each skewer was cooked to perfection. The variety offered something for everyone, making it a great choice for groups.
Pineapple Kebab: A unique twist on the classic kebab, the combination of juicy pineapple and savory meat was surprisingly delicious. The sweetness of the fruit complemented the savory flavors of the kebab, creating a memorable dish.
Drinks:
Strawberry Mojito: Refreshing and flavorful, the strawberry mojito was the perfect accompaniment to the savory dishes. The balance of sweetness and tanginess was just right, making it a delightful drink to enjoy throughout the meal.
Ayran: A traditional Turkish yogurt drink, the ayran was cooling and refreshing. Its tangy flavor helped cleanse the palate between bites, making it a great choice to complement the rich flavors of the kebabs and appetizers.
Dessert:
Kunafa: A classic Middle Eastern dessert, the kunafa was indulgent and satisfying. The crispy pastry layers paired beautifully with the creamy cheese filling, while the sweet syrup added a burst of flavor. A perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note.

Read moreAfter a long walk exploring Old Dubai at Al Seef, we decided to try out O'Doner brunch, a Turkish restaurant. Turkish cuisine is known for its rich flavors, and we were excited to indulge in some authentic dishes.
We ordered three plates:
BURSA ISKENDER ADANA KEBAB DYNAMITTE FILLET
Before delving into the food, I must mention the service hiccup we encountered. The staff didn't inform us that each dish has a different preparation time, leading to staggered arrivals of our plates. Adana Kebab arrived first, followed by the second plate after a few minutes, and the third plate after a longer wait. While the supervisor apologized for the oversight, it would have been better if they had proactively informed us about the timing issue.
Moving on to the food itself, I can't praise it enough. The Bursa Iskender, Adana Kebab, and Dynamitte Fillet were all outstanding in taste and quality, showcasing the excellence of Turkish cuisine.
One small downside was the lack of pencils or pens to engage with the paper on the table meant for playing. It's a minor detail but adds to the overall experience.
In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting O'Doner for their incredible Turkish food, but be mindful of the service aspect. Despite the service hiccups, the food truly shines, making it...

This place completely ruined my vacation. After my visit I couldnt keep anything down for days and it all started with what seemed like a harmless meal.
On our second day of exploring Al seef, we decided to grab something local to eat. We sat down in a very touristy area and ordered a chicken Shawarma. It arrived and within three bites I knew something was wrong, at first I thought it was fat. However when I spit it out it was RAW chicken skin, you heard it right RAW. I immediately told my wife to stop eating and spit out everything.
We immediately flagged the waitress but she casually insisted it was “normal.” Shocked and confused we paid and left. Later after digesting and researching the incident of preparations of doner shawarma, it sank in how wrong they were, so we went back for a refund. Which turned into another ordeal, apparently they couldn’t process a card refund. After some back and forth of offering more food and declining, they called the manager. They still couldn’t process a card refund and the staff had to pull their money together.
For perspective 59 AED is expensive for sharwarma to begin with and nowhere near enough for the food poisoning / salmonella that followed.
Bottom line: save yourself the misery and...
