As we heard a new spot started in deira serving authentic Mandi dishes. The restaurant has a comfortable seating arrangement with a nice ambience, making it a good spot for a relaxed dine in. The pricing is decent and felt reasonable for the portion sizes and overall experience.
We ordered beef ribs Mandi and charcoal chicken, along with their standard Mandi rice. The highlight of the dinner was undoubtedly the beef ribs, they were cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and slipped right off the bone. The juiciness and depth of flavor in the ribs made them truly remarkable food there in our minds. Every piece was good, making it good one in the order.
The charcoal chicken, on the other hand, was just average. It was not bad, but nothing exceptional either. had a decent flavor but lacked the 'wow' factor that the beef ribs had.
The main letdown was the Mandi rice. Given that Mandi is primarily a rice dish, expected something more flavorful for a mandi, but that wasn't the case. However, the rice tasted quite ordinary, missing the rich aroma and depth that usually defines good Mandi. If they improved the rice, the meal would have been far more satisfying. Initially the rice was only just for 2 person, and then we ordered extra rice and they made it compliment which most of the shops restrain from doing for free, which is a highly appreciable gesture. Their service was good.
To end the meal, they served Luqaimat as a complimentary finisher. While it was a nice touch, the taste was just okay, nothing extraordinary but not bad either.
Overall, Royal Mandi provides a good dining experience with comfortable seating, fair pricing, and an enjoyable ambience where in Deira it's hard to find such spots. especially when you're with your family, this is an option . If they improve the quality of their rice, it would elevate the experience significantly. Would I return? Possibly, for the beef ribs, but I’d hope for better Mandi...

The quality of the ingredients was evident in each bite, and the portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying meal from start to finish. I recently ordered the Chicken Mandi and Special Peri Peri Madhbi at Royal Mandi & Grill in Deira. The waiting time was a bit long, and it would be great if they could reduce that. The meal came with complimentary salad, soup, mayonnaise, and tomato salsa, which was a nice touch. However, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The rice had no mandi flavour, and I would suggest changing the rice brand for better taste. The chicken was grilled, but it didn’t have much seasoning or flavor—it tasted more like a regular grilled chicken rather than a traditional mandi.
The ambience was nice, with seating available on both the ground floor and the first floor. There is paid RTA street parking available, but it’s difficult to find a spot, so it’s better to use public transport. The price is reasonable, but I’d consider this a one-time experience unless the...
