Very Disappointing Experience – Misleading Pricing, Rude Management, and Poor Value

We had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at SOT Club, and we would not recommend this place to anyone looking for honest service or quality drinks.

We ordered two shots of tequila, but they were never served. Despite this, the supervisor brought us a handwritten bill charging us 650 AED for the shots. When we asked to see the menu, we found that the price for tequila shots was not listed at all — extremely misleading. After going back and forth with the supervisor and finally speaking with the manager, they agreed to remove the tequila from the bill.

We also ordered shrimp dynamite, but were incorrectly served dynamite sushi. When we pointed it out, they started preparing the correct dish but left the wrong sushi on our table. I explained to the supervisor that we hadn’t ordered sushi and didn’t even touch it. He still refused to cancel the item, saying “the order was already made.” I asked if they could at least pack it for takeaway, and he said “as per club rules, there’s no takeaway.” After another conversation with the manager, we were told they would not charge us for the sushi either.

But when the final bill came, they had only removed the tequila — they still charged us for the sushi, even though we had been promised otherwise and it was never eaten. We ended up paying a total of 1,300 AED, which included the price of a dish we didn’t order or touch.

We also ordered four Sex on the Beach cocktails, and they tasted like juice with barely any alcohol — completely watered down and not at all worth the price.

To be clear, the waiter was polite and respectful, and we don’t blame him. The real issue was the supervisor, who was rude, dismissive, and totally unhelpful throughout the experience.

Last night, we had the opportunity to visit the highly talked-about nightclub, restaurant, and lounge, SOT Dubai.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was fantastic. The food was exceptional, offering a range of delicious options from appetizers to desserts. We enjoyed calamari with a crispy exterior and tender inside, perfect with their special sauce. The buffalo wings had just the right level of spice and saltiness, complementing the flavor perfectly.
