I went to dinner here, because I saw one food blogger reviewed this restaurant, I was excited to try the food in this restaurant because I wanted to try Yemeni food. When I went in, the 2nd floor was being renovated, and the ceiling was exposed at first I didn't mind it but I quickly realize what if the debris falls down on the food. I waited for awhile for my food to bring, as a usual arab restaurant they always serve soups, out of all the arab restaurants I went to, the soup that they served me was too salty to drink, I told one of the waiters who was a girl to put a little hot water on it. She wasn't even smiling, and the way she serve isn't what I am expecting. All in all, most of their foods are too salty, staff need to have a training on costumer satisfaction. There are so many Mandi places in Dubai that it becomes very difficult to know which one is good or bad.

We chose to dine here because it came recommended via social pages. After giving in our order they served us soup and salad.

I’ve not had Mandi to judge if this was the right thing or not, but I really loved it. My favorite was the Yemeni bread…kind of like a XXXL paratha. Flaky, and soft. We paired it with the Himmus and Tabouleh we ordered. After having that we also had their meat Mandi. It was delicious fatty pieces of succulent meat served on a bed of rice. It is heavy on the stomach because it is pretty oily but the experience was delicious.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I had pre-booked my meal in advance, but when I arrived, the manager informed me that no reservation was made and the dish I had ordered was out of stock. This was extremely frustrating, especially since I had received confirmation earlier.

It was clear that the issue happened because of the manager’s negligence, and instead of taking responsibility or offering an alternative, the staff seemed indifferent. Poor communication and lack of accountability completely ruined what was supposed to be a smooth dining experience.
