La Casbah d’Alger Restaurant & Cafe — Restaurant in Dubai

Visited La Casbah Algerian restaurant with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience was far from enjoyable. First off, the A/C was not working, making the entire dining area uncomfortably hot and sweaty – not exactly the atmosphere you want when you're trying to enjoy a meal.

About the food, apart from the chicken bourek, which was the only saving grace of the evening – crispy, flavorful, and nicely done – everything else was just a huge letdown. We ordered the chicken and beef skewers, expecting some authentic grilled flavor, but they felt like boiled meat on a stick – bland, rubbery, and completely tasteless. It was so bad we actually had to spit it out.

The service didn’t help either – slow, inattentive, had to ask them 3-4 times just to bring an empty cup, finally had to get up myself and help get a cup which kept next to the counter, and it felt like the staff just weren’t interested. No one bothered to check on us or even apologize for the uncomfortable seating conditions or the bad food.

Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the price or time. We walked out regretting the visit – would not recommend this to anyone. There are other Algerian restaurants which are way better then...

If i could put zero star i will do it it’s hard to find a place where you could feel home but really i’m disappointed because : i don’t know how a restaurant in dubai in 2024 doesn’t use the machine for payment and require people to pay cash , and when i reclaimed that he got upset to me secondly i don’t know also how it can be a restaurant without soft drinks !!! only water was available !!! my friend went outside to buy a soft drink for us from a neighbor restaurant

Not really a great experience the only good thing was the pasta and the tacos, the ac isn’t working , we were literally sweating, we ordered chicken skewer as you can see in the photos the quantity is so small and the taste isn’t even worth it, I personally wanted to puke after eating, not only that they took really really really long to deliver and we were starving, prices seem okay but really not something we want to experience again, the aesthetics are good but not up to the par, wouldn’t...
