Starbucks — Restaurant in Dubai

The staff are rude and spend time on their phones and chatting with friends. I repeated my order four times as they were too pre-occupied to listen in the first place.

When it came to hygiene, one wore a hair net, touched his face, phone and not bothered to sanitise or wash his hands until I raised the issue. To proove a point, he served me in the cup handled before observing hygiene protocol. Upon payment, he used a patronising tone about the card in question.

It was until he saw me openly type away on the reviews page that his whole demeanour changed.

When you walk into an establishment such as this especially a hospital: hygiene can not be stressed enough, everyone who walks in the 'dirham' paid is the same - do finish up with the one who was being served before jumping to who you deem a more important client.

Been a customer for seven months and the treatment is getting worse from the team at Starbucks building 37, theycould borrow a leaf from Raju, Ann and Karishma working in Building 35..... familiarity does indeed breed contempt, except in...

It's a pretty regular Starbucks cafe like all others in the UAE. They do have much more space available than the standalone ones you find outside of big malls. I like it because it's close to my workplace and has a combination of hardwood chairs as well as soft top single seater sofas. One other thing I like about them is financial times newspaper along with other papers in the newspaper rack.

The reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they mostly have only one cash counter working, despite having two, and between 11.30 and 1.30pm, I have stood in a line with 4-5 people ahead of me, in order to place an order. Another issue with the general area, and not Starbucks specific is the severe dearth of public parking spaces around. Sure there is green parking a couple of mins walk from Starbucks but honestly I won't pay for parking just to buy coffee and be back in less...

I can't even given this location a star but it seems I have to in order to be able to post my comment. the only person who seemed to be working was the cashier besides that I saw at least 8 staff members 3 in the kitchen talking two sitting at a table talking whether it was work or not I have no idea but they were obviously not paying attention to the cashier who was struggling and calling for plates and help without any support. Two other staff members were in line to buy food and I'm sorry there was no sign of an apology while you wait for a coffee so rather than order a pumpkin spice latte I opted for a cold water because well it can't be hard to prepare.
