Club Milliseme have done it again!|This was our 6th trip to the hotel and I can very proudly say that the exemplary service and care we received 5 years ago on our first visit still remains steadfast! ||Club Manager Charm and Khin efficiently responded to our email of arrival ensuring all our requests were met and this is why we return year after year. The warmth, smiles and extra mile that itâs taken to make sure our room requirements and meal requests are spot on is second to none. My husband had asked for a special meal at breakfast because of his dietary needs and again they arranged everything for him. Marziel the F & B supervisor checked on his order 3 times and did not rest till it was to his satisfaction. ||We were super pleased to see the return of Vishnu back at the lounge. Vishnu had taken care of us exceptionally back in 2022 so to be with his continued smiles and attentiveness really felt so homely. The Obelisk is really our second home and every staff member there knows this and hence whenever we arrive we are greeted with a huge âwelcome homeâ from each of them making us feel so happy. ||Unfortunately for all my family this was a working holiday and whilst that isnât always ideal the club lounge facilities and staff make this very pleasurable. Armaan our long standing Club superhero does not leave stone unturned in making this easy on us. All our beverages are of 5* quality and topped up constantly, our business associates that visit for meetings are given excellent respect and service to the point that they remark âwowâ and he never misses a moment to make everyone comfortable and cared for. The location, decor, facilities of the Obelisk are second to none however Iâve said it in all my previous reviews and maintain it. The hotel delivers again and again because of the staff who are giving 150 percent in way of guest care by going above and beyond. ||On this visit we were also cared for by newer Club team members Nisha, Priyanka and Alam who I must say were amazing too. Clearly theyâve been well mentored by the other team members because their attentiveness and understanding of our needs were very well executed. ||This time we used the LâOccitaine spa for a couples massage which was great. It was even more rewarding because we were able to use the entertainer app discounts as well. The quality of the massage was fantastic and we most definitely are going to do more treatments on our next visit. ||Concierge were simply amazing as always! This trip had a lot of errands and parcels for my stay, Zhak, Fabrice, Enam, Nagendra were all phenomenal in having all those things taken care of for us. As was the Obelisk icon Mr Matar at the front of the hotel whom it was a pleasure to still be ushered into our transport by each day. ||Staying at this hotel is always an incredible experience, I hope it will always continue and senior management will ensure that this high level of guest care continues year after year as it has done these last 5 years with the highly competent team members weâve had the privilege of being cared for by. We have returned home to the UK and are in the process of booking our next stay at the hotel!||The hotel being connected to Wafi mall has always been a major reason of our stays, Wafi is not a big mall but it has everything you need when you require a home from home visit.    Read moreI had high expectations for this stay, especially as a frequent guest of Accorâs 5-star hotels and someone who truly likes the Sofitel brand. Unfortunately, my experience at Sofitel Dubai was deeply disappointing â mostly due to the front desk service. Before arrival, I reached out both via email and phone to confirm whether booking with a corporate company card under the companyâs name would cause any issues upon check-in. I was instructed to request a secure payment link instead, so I emailed and waited for a reply â but I never received any response from the hotel. Since my business trip schedule was very tight, I had no choice but to pay with my personal card. I booked three rooms â all King-bed rooms â and even confirmed the bed types again over the phone. However, at check-in, only two rooms had King beds and the last one was assigned as a Twin. When I asked why, the receptionist did not provide a clear explanation and only said that a complimentary upgrade was not possible, but they would switch the room to a King-bed type once one became available. Unfortunately, no follow-up communication was ever made during our entire stay. Additionally, I had clearly noted in the reservation â and reiterated over the phone â that our check-in would be the following morning due to our flight schedule. However, when I received the invoice, two of the rooms were marked with a âNo-Showâ charge for the first night. This caused further issues when submitting documents to my company, so I had to request corrections again at check-out, which was highly inconvenient. I want to emphasize that the bellmen and housekeeping staff were friendly and professional, and I appreciate their hospitality. But the front desk service was the worst I have experienced at any Accor property. As someone who has stayed at many Sofitel hotels worldwide, this was completely unexpected and left a negative impression during an important business trip. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the outstanding customer service â every staff member was warm, professional, and attentive to our needs. The room was luxurious, spacious, and beautifully maintained, offering the perfect balance of comfort and elegance.
Room service was excellent throughout our stay, and the facilities, including the pool, were top-notch. If I had to mention one minor point, the gym could have been a little bigger. However, everything else was perfect and exceeded our expectations.
Without a doubt, Sofitel The Obelisk has become our home in Dubai. I will always choose to stay here whenever I visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxury experience in the heart of the city!

Update(second visit on Sept 2025): I recently visited Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk again just a week ago for my second stay, and it was honestly the best experience ever. This time, we were there to celebrate both mine and my wifeâs birthdays, and the team made it truly unforgettable.
We were surprised with a complimentary birthday cake, and I have to say it was hands down the best cake Iâve ever had in my life! Special thanks to the chef who created itâI really hope I get the chance to taste it again on my next visit.
Huge appreciation to Sofiya, Ramesh, Chef Govind, and Arushi at the Level 2 restaurant for taking such wonderful care of us. The buffet breakfast there is a must-try. Chef Govind even went out of his way to prepare fresh dosa and idli for my wife, which made the experience extra special.
We also enjoyed the Mile High Club at Level 51, where Hazem and Armaan looked after us with excellent service and warm hospitality.
