🥩 What I Ordered
I went in for lunch and had: • Ribeye Steak • Braised Oxtail
🍽️ The Food Experience
🔸 Ribeye Steak Cooked to perfection, medium rare as requested. The meat was tender, well-marinated, and full of flavor. It had a beautiful sear on the outside with a juicy pink center. The steak came with a selection of sauces, I went for garlic, which complemented it wonderfully. The portion was generous and satisfying, especially with the perfectly mashed potato on the side
🔸 Oxtail The surprise star of the meal. Braised low and slow, the meat was falling off the bone, rich, and packed with deep, comforting flavors. The sauce had that homemade, soulful taste with spices that lingered just the right amount. Served with mashed potatoes, it was hearty, wholesome, and full of character.
🥤 Drinks & Sides Went for a classic mint lemonade that was perfect!
👨🍳 Service
Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The team explained the dishes, made great recommendations, and ensured the pace of service was relaxed but efficient. The waitstaff was dressed in tribal-themed attire which added to the immersive experience.
💸 Pricing
Slightly on the higher side, but justified by the quality of ingredients, portion sizes, and overall atmosphere. Expect to spend around AED 120–180 per main, but you’re paying for more than just food, you’re paying for a cultural dining experience.
✅ Final Verdict:
Tribes Dubai Hills Mall is a must-visit if you’re craving something bold, meaty, and outside the ordinary. The ribeye is a carnivore’s delight, but the oxtail is what truly stole the show. Whether you’re out with friends, family, or just treating yourself, this is a spot that leaves a lasting impression.

With this branch being located in Dubai Hill Mall, I was very fortunate to avoid the other two malls rush. I like to avoid the crowded places. If you’re like me, go Dubai Hills Mall. If you’re already in the Mall of Emirates and Dubai Mall, I look forward to reading reviews of Tribes located there.
I went very late, so the restaurant inside was empty. With a few customers sitting outside. Nice view of the new complexes outside as is with most of Dubai.
Staff - Shepherd gave exceptional attention to detail. He ensured his colleagues all took part in a celebration. They were all extremely happy and smiling. Always pleasant to see smiling faces. His customer service was spot on. I had thought I said my goodbyes until my next visit to Dubai.
My First Visit: Hakuna Matata Tasing Platter Pan Fried Chilly & Garlic Prawns Fried Calamari Short-rib Croquette Crumbed Chicken Lollipops Cheesy Meatballs Chicken Liver Dessert Drinks Rangers Valley Wagyu Ribeye 300g Steakhouse Chips
My Second Visit (the very next day): Rangers Valley Wagyu Ribeye 300g Sweet Potatoe Chips
In all honesty, the Hakuna Matata Tasing Platter wasnt go great. Everything I felt was below standard with only the Chicken Lollipops and Cheesy Balls decent enough to order again.
The Wagyu Ribeye on the other hand, got me back again. I could not leave Dubai without getting that juicy flavoursome steak. It was perfectly glazed, the marbling score of 5+ is accurate. Anyone who knows about steaks, will highly appreciate this. I’ve had a fair amount of steaks now, this has jumped to top spot. Steakhouse chips were okay, nothing special.
The Strawberry Mojito was decent as was the banana shake.
This is not a cheap place however, price for my first visit reached over £240 for 3 people. With the second visit costing £170 for 2 people.
Is the steak worth it, damn right it is. Anything else, not quite there. My second visit had side as Sweet Potatoe Chips, felt this was sloghtly better than the Steakhouse Fries.
Will I go back again, absolutely, but only for the steak. I have been recommended other things, however, the Ribeye so good, I dont know if I want to order anything else.
They gave some complimentary loafs. Which was nice. Probably better than the starters in my opinion. I’d surely give 5 stars if the rest of the...
