Very poor & disturbing experience!. They refused to keep the car to be collected from parking at 8 am despite my checkout time at 12 pm. Extremely illogical and unsupportive reception and manager (James). Won’t recommend to ever stay in this hotel apartment. I wasted 45 minutes requesting because since last 4 years they were doing and suddenly this new reception team is adamant and non cooperative (especially the manager James). Even for a simple concierge bag keep, the manager (James) was adamant to unnecessarily ask if I have electronics in the bag and if yes then it is difficult to keep - what sort of customer service training is provided to a manager to argue with customer and ask such weird questions- I have stayed here a few times and this has been a disaster experience for me. I don’t recommend using this hotel at all and never plan to stay ever in this Golden Sands Hotel Apartment because of such last moment extremely poor and non cooperative service staff as well as hopelessly argumentative manager. At night 12:15 I had to make alternative arrangements to drop off my car for collection which is very annoying as instead of resting I was managing chaotic situation created by this non cooperative golden sands 3 hotel manager. I had a very poor experience and do not plan to ever stay personally or even recommend anyone to stay.
Even room quality is poor - shower does not work properly, shower drainage has blockage, refrigerator was broken and my food got spoilt 2 times, air conditioning was leaking water heavily and floor was puddle by morning when I woke up 💧 , steam iron was leaking, TV remote does not function properly ….. overall a very poor experience.
And to top it all up, the checkout experience was horrible this morning. Spend 25 minutes - the manager (James) personally went to inspect the room and despite all above highlighted flaws, he unethically, deliberately and wrongly deducted AED 140 towards replacement of an already broken steam iron tip (but functional in a haphazard fashion just like their poor refrigerator, leaking air conditioning unit and clogged shower drain) - he stated that I complained about clogged drainage in shower, leaking air conditioning unit, non working refrigerator ….. why did I miss out a leaking iron - it is my job to inspect each and every component of hotel room provided and to raise complaint - who gave this guy a job ????. As if I am their servicing staff - totally unethical and unprofessional behaviour by manager James and supported by front desk staff - Waii Lin simply to harass hotel guests. I asked him if I broke it show me the broken piece your cleaning staff may have collected - he had no answer & kept mum ! This is the most unprofessional, unethical, troubling and shocking service provided by Golden Sands 3 receptionist and mainly the Manager- James. I do hope Golden Sands 3 management take a strict disciplinary action against both - and do refund back to me AED 140 charged in a grossly wrongful and unethical fashion by the manager James.
To add, I am now checking guest reviews and find that this Golden Sands 3 manager and reception team have a malpractice of not returning back or illogically deducting deposit money at times as I faced today 😡😡😡 Also malfunctioning of air conditioning system and clogging of shower drains have been complained by previous guests who stayed here recently reflecting poor quality and standards of property - same as I experienced 😡. And looks like the management has a standard stereotype response to all such serious complaints ! 😡 No wonder reception desk and front line manager continue to behave very rudely, unethically, unprofessionally & carelessly. I do hope some strict disciplinary action and measures are taken by senior management of Golden Sands to avoid such unpleasant...
Read moreMy experience today with this Golden Sands Hotel Apartments today was very Bad.we check in Last night with my Family around 11pm.we had nice Dinner and set to watch movie so we was relax.weak up early around 8am to had a breakfast.after that we swim to the pool so that my Daughter can enjoy.after that we go back to our room # 613 to take a bath and sleep again.we weak up around 11:30 again so that we can prepare our things to go back home.so my Husband was clean also all what we used was return to the same place where we get it.i was saying to my husband why you are cleaning i told him.there is a cleaner to do that and he answered me it's ok.i want to leave the room clean so that the clean he will not be tired he said so i help him he said to me😊then around 12 he call the reception he said we can check out earlier instead of 2pm.so around 1pm the cleaner he doorbell and my Husband open for him and we was ready to go out.and i told to the cleaner guy it's clean already my husband was clean all i said.and he just give me thank you and directly he inter to the room and direct to the Sofa and he was talking a picture of scratch of the sofa directly and we didn't even notice that there is scratch of the sofa.and he send to the manager.and the manager hold us on the reception.i was telling to the manager that we already check out and we want our deposit 300dirms.so she said wait Mam because the cleaner was found out that our sofa had scratch so we wait.after that she said she will not return our deposit because of that scratch that we didn't even know and we didn't even did that scratch of the sofa.we are not stupid to do that.but i told them so the scratch what you found out that we didn't even know.and you take our Deposit is very wrong.so the take our Deposit and they didn't even say thank you the staff was rude and the Manager.so this is my Very Bad experience on this Golden Sands 3 Hotels Apartment be Careful the scratch of the sofa was on Room 613 and of course they will not change that.so that next Guests they will not return your Deposit 😡i share this what we experience so be careful all Guests please...it's our first time experience happen to this Hotel only At Golden Sands 3 Hotel Apartments👎👎👎Be careful Guys it's not a joke to earn Money and they just take your Deposits because of that Modus Operant of this Hotel...your 300 deposit will just fly🤣🤣inshallah allah will bless you more so that you will earn more Money with your...
Read moreWe have stayed at this aparthotel, Golden Sands 3, for many years with slightly different experiences in terms of the condition of the apartments. They have always fixed any problems, challenges and deficiencies that have arisen, but ideally everything should have been functional from arrival. The cleaning wasn't too bad, but some clearly need more experience, and perhaps also an interest in the subject. We like firm mattresses, so the sleep quality for us was very good, but it could have been even better with a 180 cm bed. The fridge/freezer badly needs to be replaced, the fan was unnecessarily noisy at times. Good location with relatively short distance to Metro stations, bus stops and grocery stores. That being said, they have done a cosmetic upgrade recently, and also part of the kitchen is getting and has gotten new and much needed appliances. For those who like to swim, the swimming pool was actually cleaned well before opening in the morning, which we have previously noted as very late - so definitely a plus. Although new faces are constantly appearing at the reception and elsewhere, there are still some that we have known for several years, both at the reception and in the maintenance department. New this year for us was Room Attendant Obaidul, who ensured that our apartment was sparkling clean at all times and he remembered all our small requests regarding bed linen, towels, etc. A big thank you to Obaidul, you helped make our stay very good. Very good facilitators and providing assistance so that we got help if needed was almost as usual - Guest Service Agent Abdullah, he has had 5 star behavior for several years and both was and has been a fantastic supporter during all our stays, a huge thank you to Abdullah. Last but not least, Ms Eden made sure everything regarding the booking went smoothly. She also helped make sure everything worked and was fixed so we had a great stay, so Ms. Eden, you also deserve a big thank you from us, we are already looking forward to our next stay - and possibly your assistance. I don't remember the young man's name in the maintenance department, but we also owe him a big thank you for quickly and efficiently resolving our small challenges in the apartment.
