This was our review and then below the owners response! Come to you own conclusions:- "We had high expectations on the previous reveiews. Two out of three of us wanted spag bol (the reason we went to this Italian and yes we do know its not an authentic Italian food) but we were told they did not have any. I am not going to say anymore about this but that in itself is not acceptable. How can we give any higher than poor for this? IThe other dishes were hardly eaten. No doubt we will get told that we should have raised the issue then however no one queried that most of two dishes went back uneaten nor did anyone ask us if all was ok during the meal. Read moreWOW what a discovery ! The standard and quality of the food at this restaurant is exceptional ! We were just looking for a local place that would be good for my 14 yr olds birthday and thought pizza would be ideal.. but i hate the pizza chains with there english/american version of italian pizza - so i called and checked this place had the real thing made fresh - confirmed :) So we went along and the kids had pizza real authentic pizza, crispy dough, great quality ingredients :))) But i thought id risk trying a steak .. I say risk because 99% of the time i am so dissapointed by the mediorce standard of steaks i get in restarants - again the steak chains seem to be the worst ! So i politley asked if the fillet steak was fresh & the proper thick cut & could i possibly ask the chef to see it - no problem, they were happy to do it. The chef offered up 3 great looking thick cuts of quality looking fillet - good start but the best was yet to come... i love a med- rare steak with a decent chef prepped creamy peppercorn sauce - they had their own 3 type pepper corn sauce.... So i have eaten in some top restaurants in 39 diff countries in the world including in the top ten and Michelin starred - This Steak was exceptional easily equal best wish the best i have ever had .... and that hasn't happened to often ! This is due to both the fantastic quality of the streak by the chef sourcing the best supplier & exceptional standard of preperation and cooking. I would have expected and have paid double for this eceptional standard of steak meal ! So i will be returning again ....& again .....& ....... Read moreFirstly ordered a rum and coke, didn’t taste any rum at all so had very little inside and the coke tasted like cheap cola. Secondly ordered chips and very disappointed that it was frozen chips and not cooked properly in the middle. Pizza was half decent other would have been a 0.5 review. Took a long time for the food to arrive also. Overall wouldn’t recommend and probably won’t return
Owner is very rude when someone is not writing a 5 review. And expecting everytime everyone is having amazing food because they don’t make any mistakes* said the pizza was half decent. Also saying you was very busy and struggled to fit us in when there was at least 5 empty tables. “Which means you are the liar” I don’t need to go “visit Napoli” to know what chips and a rum and coke is meant to taste like.
