The Cob Stop — Restaurant in Amber Valley

Disappointing. We ordered their afternoon tea delivery boxes as a treat for the coronation day. What we received were tiny, half-filled, tasteless sandwiches, overcooked quiche, soggy crisps as they had just been dumped in the box, and a tiny pork pie and slices of sausage roll. The sweet section involved rock hard scones with the tiniest bit of jam and cream dumped in to little tubs, and a fairy cake with cream on top, which was smeared over the plastic wrap they had put them in. Oh, and the advertised fresh strawberries.......an entire one each! Our own fault for leaving it too late to order from anywhere decent....

Mushrooms were good. Warm, good texture. Egg was really well cooked. Hash browns Hot and crispy , very tasty.

Bacon was fairly good, well cooked in some places others not so. Toast was fairly good considering we had take away.

Beans were ok but tasted a bit watery and beans themselves a bit chalky not sure if it was a quality or cooking. Wouldn't eat again. Sausages where extremely poor quality and the texture wasn't nice. I wouldn't purchase sausages again.
