Apla Souvlaki Bognor — Restaurant in Arun

This was already our second visit coming from Brighton in 2 weeks. We went the first time to visit some friends and we were advised to taste the souvlaki there and the portions as well. I'm greek so I was a little bit hesitant of what I was going to taste, because I had similar food tests in Brighton and wasn't fully satisfied, overpriced too...One word: SATISFACTION! A very nice canteen near Bognor train station with friendly warm staff and amazing taste of really good qualitative food. You can feel the love and professionalism throughout the food experience they offer and the prices were very reasonable. Friendly service, smiling people and although we were in a queue waiting (later we learned that it's the talk of the town), the final result rewarded us. Good portions of tender, juicy meat, fresh vegetables and the wrap with chicken yeeros(or gyros) tastes like heaven. And of course we took an order with us back home for dinner. These guys make me proud they're in my town. Food wise there isn't much on offer in Bognor besides the British staples but Apla running out of a modest catering trailer deliver something a bit different that really belongs in a restaurant.

I ordered this to be delivered. I hadn't ordered previously due to the prices were a bit high for me but I had a discount on Deliveroo so I thought I would try it. I got the pork souvlaki plate with chips and salad and pita with cucumber dip. It was absolutely delicious. I also got their version of babaganoush (eggplant dip). I make this myself often but I really enjoyed their's.
