Amazing venue. Live local music every weekend, everyone is just so friendly with a welcoming atmosphere! lost of variety in hot and cold drinks with an amazing cocktail menu. Looking forward to returning! Returned to try out the food menu and it did not disappoint! The pies were just full of tasty filling and the sides just complimented everything to make it a tastful masterpiece. The flavors were just phenomenal. This topped with the raging open fire was just a peak experience in this cold weather.

Had the pleasure of taste testing this amazing ploughman's before the new menu was finalised (turns out who you know, matters 😁) it was delicious in the first place, but Natalie asked for our honest opinions on what can be added or changed and took our suggestions on board. Can definitely recommend food at the eagle, it's easily of the highest quality and very fairly priced! You'll do well to find better for the price

Always a nice pub to come to for me whenever I visit Arundel on my own. Very quiet during the day but usually becomes busy in the evening. One of the few places I know to have a proper fire place going when it's cold outside. Plus, on the odd occasion it would say on the board outside if a band is there. Not sure not if they still do.

We were so disappointed with our experience at 'The Eagle Inn' today. Went with 16 others to celebrate a 30th birthday. All arrived on time, despite Arundel being closed for St Georges Day Parade and parking was horrendous!! We pre-ordered our food and were all looking forward to a homemade roast dinner... Only one of our party had ordered a starter of soup and once this was realised we asked for it to be cancelled. This couldn't be done as it had already been "plated up"??? We then asked to order some more starters on this information but told that we couldn't as the kitchen was only open until 3pm (we booked to sit down at 3pm?? Not told that this was a problem) Soup came out with the children's food. 15 minutes later some of the main's were brought out, it took nearly 20 minutes for all of us to have food in front of us. The plates were all cold, meat was cold with warm gravy covering it. Vegetables were nice a hot and looked tasty. Some of our party asked for food to be heated, others didn't as they had waited so long and were hungry. Even though it was taken to be "put back in the oven" when it had returned the plates were still cold and meat was cold too. When asked if it had been put in the oven the waitress said "it has been in the microwave". It was taken back again and was still cold after returning for the 3rd time!!! The guests who's weren't reheated didn't eat the cold meat and were left hungry. Meat has to be 72 degrees before serving and it definitely wasn't. One of our party pre-ordered vegetarian sausages in place of meat for her roast (which was an option) She was given goats cheese tart and salad!!! When she asked for what she had ordered she was told that they hadn't actually got it.... Dessert was nice if not very expensive for what we were given and we were allowed to order other desserts too... Lots of the party wanted to do this as left hungry from the main..!!! We had to wait nearly an hour after our plates had been cleared for the dessert. No one asked if the meal was ok when were eating and nobody apologised for the meat being cold. Whilst waiting to be served at the bar one of the staff saw that I was waiting and instead of serving me made herself a drink and sat down. When we asked for the Beef meals to be removed from the bill we were told by the landlady that she couldn't understand why it would have been cold, she had bought the meat in especially for our party (what did they usually serve on a Sunday then?) and the beef did need to rest.. We understood that but when it is stone cold even after being reheated twice we wondered if the oven was working??? She then told us that we were all late and the kitchen was waiting to serve us... This was completely untrue, and again no apology. She removed the price of 2 beef but at £13.95 per head we all left feeling disgusted by the service and vowed never to return......

Bar staff are incredibly rude!! Not only that, but also highly insulting. They did not just accuse a friend of being on drugs (because he blew his nose at the bar - whilst getting over a cold!!) but, they insulted his appearance saying that he looked “funny” and his face “wasn’t normal” - What a bizarre thing to say to paying customers! Unfortunately these accusations are damaging and make people feel very self-conscious. I for one was horrified hearing this. On top of this there was also unfortunately the underlying feeling that this is because of his South African heritage and accent. there was a condescending feel and attitude towards him when he was being insulted and even previously to this. As a group of 10 people I cannot help but think it is anything other than the staff being unable to handle a crowd larger than 4 (which the bar is very clearly only equipped for). A lovely pub but unfortunately all of us never be retuning again. The accusations were not only insulting but incredibly rude and ultimately unkind. As a sober woman, to witness this was...
