Ashford Indian Diner — Restaurant in Ashford

We ordered a meal that should have cost just over £20.00 - the driver came and charged £37.25 - my partner paid it not wanting to argue with the delivery driver which I think is fair.

Baring in mind this is maybe an hour fifteen to an hour twenty after ordering and a call to see where it was.

We called and the manager was agitated and swift and didn’t really listen at all. He was almost angry with me for calling in and having an issue. He spoke very very quickly. Conceded we may have one extra dish after I really had to push back (we had four but he explained away the other three as add on’s to other dishes and such - news to me as 34 years Pakistani but hey ho).

I emailed him three days ago after calculating the cost of our meal online and how much it should have been - the food we had ordered even with the extra dish we did not order he conceded had been sent -should have been 29.00 not 37.00. Without the dish we did not order it should have been 20.00 - to not hear back.

We are owed nearly 20.00 by this restaurant and Johnny who said he is the owner.

It’s baffling to be honest. The phone call was baffling, we made an order. We should have been charged for that order. A receipt should have been sent with the order. When we called to say this is double the food and money, he should have said sorry. Someone will be back to pick it up and give you your money back and we will text you or send you a receipt.

I am still waiting for an email response for what is now theft? I’m genuinely baffled by this. I would never recommend getting a delivery from here ever via ordering on the phone. It’s the biggest no from me in regards to places to order from. We were also poorly which was why I decided salan or curry was a good idea to cleanse so that sucks. 0/10 for me Jonny. Sorry. You owe me nearly 20.00. I’d rather donate that elsewhere. I feel like I’ve been robbed.

Utterly bizarre. Having said that if I do receive my money back which I am hopeful about because otherwise this is just actual robbery?! I will of course delete...

Visited this restaurant Saturday 24th Aug and we have never felt more unwelcome here. We arrived at 9.15pm to be told we would have to be quick as they were closing at 10pm. Our order was taken quickly by the unfriendly waiter who practically ran with our drinks to our table. The food arrived very quickly and was not the usual flavoursome meals that we have had here in the past. No sooner had we eaten then the unfriendly waiter was back to whip our plates away, he didn't bother to ask if our food was okay. We had the hot flannels and orange segments plonked on our table followed rapidly by the bill. The only time the waiter smiled was when we tapped our card to pay as he knew we would be on our way.

Whilst we were eating our meal, a table for 6 wanted to come in and they were told they would have to be quick as the restaurant was closing in 25 minutes, needless to say, these people walked back out after the unfriendly welcome they received. We have eaten here many times in the past and have always been welcomed by the owner and staff, the food has always been lovely. If people are receiving this kind of customer service, I'm surprised this restaurant is still open. Without customers you do not have a business and we will certainly not be returning here again if this is the level of service that our money...

Me and my wife got a takeaway because we've tried everywhere else in Ashford and we thought we'd give this a go I would give them a 2 out of 5 for their food my wife wanted to give my 4 so we compromised and gave a three star . But this is more personal taste as I am diabetic and it was far too sweet and sugary for me as we ordered a chicken chicken masala I've been to many places and had it in different areas and they tend to be sweet but still have some Spice to them. where our chicken tick masala was sadly lacking in the Spice department. but haven't said that my wife loved it so she was very happy with the taste .ordered a special fried rice and that was very acceptable nice tasting and did everything it was supposed to do would I advise anybody to go there yes I think I would but next time I'll order something different . just a quick one if you are having a takeaway and you pay cash you'll get a cash discount if you pay card it will be full price and they give us a couple of poppadum's and a bit of salad which was very nice because some places would...
