The Glass House, Bar & Coffee House — Restaurant in Ashford

Came here today at 8.40pm after coming out of imperial china chinese, the guys and kids went to the glass House before that time while we payed in the Chinese, so us women after we paid went to the glass house after for one before we went home as we was out for a birthday and got told we can only take drinks or kids outside no later than 9pm which we stated yes that’s fine just wanted one with the guys before we go (guys got served 5 mins before us) we was not expecting the waiter (a tall skinny dark haired male) to spend 5 mins telling us we can’t take drinks outside after 9pm (yeh that’s great we already know that we just wanted a quick one with the guys before we all left) well after 10mins of him debating with us we gave up as it was like 8.50 by then, he was rude, arrogant and clearly has a problem with women, the bar wasn’t even manned when we got there or after we left ( i have photos) Iv never had a problem with glass house before as we have done this a lot with the Chinese then glass house throughout the week, but after tonight they have lost quite a lot of business from myself and friends and family (that go there quite a lot on weekends ) we are paying customers which businesses struggle for so if your stuff want to turn away business before the allocated time then that’s fine but we will not be using glass house again after the way this barman was… so will take our business elsewhere when dealing with business and birthdays...

Manager was very discrimativè letting who she felt like in but if she didnt like the look of u she leave u freezing outside pretending she was looking for space for u (there was clearly space as u kept coming out letting the lads in everytime they showed up but left my friend stood to the side) for a hour then decide actually no u cant come in? Is it because my friend is stunning did it hit a nerve for u or is it because u only let men in? Which one where I was standing u clearly had a problem but wouldnt make it clear what it was. I'm sorry but people I'd go...

The venue is small but comfortable with some seating available. I went here to watch a band playing music such as iron maiden and black Sabbath which was great until the interlude...the DJ decided to play pop and R&B music which while I'm not against that music in other scenarios, it killed the vibe of the night and the band. Luckily the band were able to engage the crowd enough in the second half but it was quickly followed by more music of the opposite genre. It's a shame as a lot of us would have stayed had the music been a little more tailored...
