Little Raj — Restaurant in Ashford

Always love the food at Little Raj. You’ll never go wrong with a takeaway but also worth a visit to their restaurant as somehow it always tastes even better. The restaurant is clean and although not a huge venue, they’ve made it feel more intimate than too hemmed in. Service is consistently good and attentive but not too much or to the point of being interruptive if enjoying a conversation with friends. I’ve never been there during the day but seen it regularly used at lunchtime and would definitely consider using the restaurant for working lunches or entertaining clients. It’s not a huge restaurant so guess they may struggle with very large groups (but I reckon they’d try to accommodate). Prices are reasonable and I saw there were various special deals on specific days during the week. Also a discount if you’re having a evening takeaway and willing to collect it yourself. I’ve never had a problem with takeaways in terms of delivery time, hotness of the food or missing items. Obviously you’ll need order in advance during expected busy times (sporting events, New Years Eve etc.) but if in doubt, I sometimes opt to collect. There’s on street parking with a few spaces plus a large multi story car park around the corner (but check what time it closes if you’re going in the evening). They have 222 reviews with an average of 4.4 hence decided to visit the place. We could not find our way there as SAT nav takes you to a side street; called the restaurant and they were very helpful telling us how to get there especially the delivery driver.

Once we got there, was warmly greeted by the manager outside the restaurant ensuring we parked ok. He took us to our seat and put us in a comfortable area.

I was worried about eating out due to covid 19 but this restaurant has notices about social distancing and had hand sanitizer on every table. All staffs were wearing mask and taking the government guideline in protecting everyone seriously.

Staff were friendly, once food was ordered it came quickly and it was delicious. We travel around for good food and I would recommend the prawn puri and chicken tikka biriyani which was mouth watering.

It was getting quite late and we were worried about finding a shop open to get milk for our toddler. The manager was kind enough to offer us milk to take away immediately without us asking for it - and didn't even charge us for it.

Absolutely useless delivered the wrong meal twice and I opened both of the so someone is getting a 2nd hand meal got my money back and ordered from tandoori nights won't b using the again stay clear or check your delivery I never ordered chips in the first place or the poperdoms not my fault if you can't get a order right is it I won't b using you again and as for keeping the first meal why would I need 2 dinners I repeat you need to sort yourself out and if I could have given you 0 stars I would have as for saying no to free food if I'd had wanted chips I would have ordered a kebab or fish and chips as for the extra portion you driver must b fast as he only took 2 minutes to get back to me so you either send your drivers out with random portions of chips or your lying you choose and what about your poor customers who is now left waiting for there food if you want to discuss this in person I'm more than willing to come down to your poorly...
