As an Indian who deeply values the richness of our cuisine, finding authentic Indian food abroad—or even within India that truly honors traditional flavors—is often a hit-or-miss experience. However, my recent visit to Tandoori Nights was nothing short of a culinary homecoming. This restaurant deserves every bit of a glowing 5-star review, and here's why.
From the moment I walked in, the warm aroma of spices—cardamom, cumin, and that unmistakable smoky tandoor scent—hit me like a comforting memory. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, with tasteful Indian decor that didn’t feel overdone. But of course, the real magic was on the plate.
The food? Absolutely divine. Every dish we ordered burst with flavor and authenticity. The tandoori chicken was perfectly marinated and charred just right—juicy on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and balanced in its spices, not overly sweet or drowning in cream like many commercial versions. And the naan—oh, the naan—soft, pillowy, with just the right amount of char and that smoky, tandoori oven flavor that’s so hard to get right.
The biryani was another standout—fragrant, layered, and cooked with finesse. Not oily, not bland, and every spoonful felt like a celebration. The raita and pickles complemented the main dishes beautifully. Even the chai at the end felt like it was made with love—brewed slowly, spiced well, and served piping hot.
What really sealed the experience was the staff. Friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the food they were serving. It reminded me of the hospitality back home—where food isn’t just about eating, but about sharing a piece of culture.
In a world full of watered-down "Indian-style" menus, Tandoori Nights stands out as a place that respects the roots of Indian cuisine while delivering an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're Indian and craving a taste of home or just someone wanting to explore real Indian food, this place is a must-visit.
5 stars, hands down. I’ll be coming back—and bringing everyone I...
Read moreHad a really horrific experience with this restaurant. Placed an order online and it was accepted. Two hours went by order still hadn’t come I’d phoned a few times and they told me it was on the way I went in person to the restaurant drove all the way there and got told that the delivery Was with the delivery driver currently and I’d be receiving it in the next 20 minutes. I phoned again 20 minutes later and it didn’t arrive and got told that they didn’t have an order to start off with even though they accepted it. So they lied to my face several times. Absolutely no customer service were really rude both on the phone and in person not caring at all. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Definitely won’t be coming back and am still waiting for my money back, as they of course took...
Read moreThe Worst Restaurant ever visited in the U.K. In fact this restaurant never deserves to be in the country like UK which is known for mannerism and gentleness. I along with my family visited this restaurant on my birthday evening and these guys truly spoilt the evening with their rotten service, ill-mannered behavior as if they are from some illiterate country and stale food. When complained about stale food to the manager, his behaviour truly embarrassed my presence in that stinking place. The very next day I suffered from diarrhea and lodged my complaint to Environmental Health Officer, Ashford Borough Council. So anyone planning to consume food from this restaurant do at your own risk and risk...
