One of the nicest laid-out Nando’s I’ve been to either North or South. Located conveniently within the Odyssey complex, close to city centre and very handy if visiting the Titanic Experience nearby. First time visiting just recently with extended family. I’ve been to many Nando’s in UK and Ireland but this was my extended family’s first time. They enjoyed their meals and had no complaints except that it was a little bit pricey for what it was - I think anyone who’s ever eaten in a Nando’s has felt this way at some point?
We too enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere was very relaxed and conducive to a nice experience. Server at till was very friendly and helpful however our hostess whom we met outside the restaurant when first arriving was not very helpful at all. Couldn’t tell us how long of a wait we’d have to endure despite us informing her we were trying to book bowling in Hollywood Bowl adjacent to Nando’s and needed an idea of wait time. Ok then, how many are ahead of us? Oh a few! 🤦🏻♂️ How many is a few? Two? Three? Four? More? Three, came the answer. We decided to wait. Booked bowling also. Why was this such a hassle? Needless and just a power trip I felt from our bored hostess. If you don’t like working there luv get another job, ok?
This was extremely weird in light of the fact that earlier that day whilst passing through the Odyssey complex, returning from a fabulous visit to the Titanic Experience, we stopped off here to enquire about gluten-free options for my nephew who’s coeliac. Nobody was outside the restaurant so two of the women in our party entered the restaurant to ask behind the till. Restaurant was quiet and the last of the lunch crowd were finishing up. The women asked a waitress (who was actually the hostess) if they could see the options etc. to which she brushed off their question curtly and went out front. Needless to say the women were not at all impressed. A very weird power play seems to take place outside this restaurant and it is needless. Perhaps management could offer some insight? If this is instigated by management then are they aware their policy is being enforced like this? The power tripping hostesses are not a good look for your very well appointed and atmospheric restaurant. These hostesses are the ambassadors for your brand and restaurant and this isn’t a good look. Nando’s corporate please take note!
So if you don’t mind being treated like you’re not on the vip list, and can handle the condescending hostesses, then you should find the majority of staff inside to be very friendly and accommodating, and a nice atmospheric restaurant in which to enjoy your moderately expensive food. 5* for everything AFTER we were shown...

Turned up to be told 30 min wait, no problem as this is to be expected so went off and had a wander What wasn’t expected was to come back, be seated and then told oh we have no full chicken, no half chicken or quarter chicken but we have breast and thighs.
