Taquitos — Restaurant in Belfast

Was so excited to try this wee place after years living in El Paso and becoming addicted to legit Mexican food. Tried the “one of each” which is one beef, one chicken and one pork. Would probably get from them again but would only get the beautiful beef next time as the other two were so bland :( Tortillas are delicious, rolled fresh and cooked in front of you which is fab, but they fell apart before I could even lift them and I ended up having to eat them with a fork and felt like an eejit. You can tell it’s not abuelas cooking as it’s a couple of white men appropriating another cultures food, But it’s probably the best mexican food we have in belfast so far. Also there’s No menu on the truck and their ordering system was a wee bit confusing, no clear lines or understanding of who had already ordered/paid etc. could be a great wee spot if they got the basics right...

Not impressed, just ordered beef tacos from the van at the fish. Beef was very dry. Girl who was serving was not wearing gloves and put everything together with her hands. Sauces and salad and garnish all not refrigerated. Very overpriced at 3 tacos for £12, it actually says 3 for 10 pounds on their website. Honestly, if you know your food, then all I can say is avoid. It was very poor. Sorry to say that. :(

UPDATE - I have spoken to the owner via private message who was very gracious and has refunded me. They have apologised and been very professional in their response, which is more than what most places would do. I really didn't expect a refund or a reply, so thank you. I will come again and try the rice...

Called here 2 weeks ago, the manager/ owner stood in the door way asking in ‘French’ if I or my friend a visitor spoke French , I said we didn’t he asked again and then closed the door and we got food at another place adjacent to his. I engaged with this person on social media and he acknowledged that this happened and that it was just him having the ‘craic’! No apology no real explanation as to why he didn’t ask us in or ask us to come back to the place and let him show that he isn’t rude and arrogant. No idea what his food or place is like but Belfast can do better, the bio of his previous culinary experience seems to have taught him little about customer service or dealing with a...
