Bistro's has never misses a beat. The food is to die for, authentic Italian. I have never had a bad meal here. The service is prompt and the owner, Mario, is such a character that he makes everyone feel like family. I had the mushroom risotto and it was so deliciously creamy, I couldn't not finish. My partner had the Romano's special, which is a huge portion size! Definitely value for money!! Would definitely recommend this as a date night venue, but for family meals and friends day outs as well.

The restaurant is a very quaint, traditional place which is very welcoming when coming inside. We were the first party to turn up about 6pm and by 7pm the place was full, approx 50 people can fit inside this small room and it heats up pretty quickly but it wasn't long before they put on the aircon. The food, wow, mouth watering and delicious! Cooked fresh and brought up to you piping hot! Attached are photos of some starters but I was too excited to eat my main to take a photo!

Had a lovely meal here with excellent service. It was a bit quiet when we arrived, but it was early, and it filled up shortly after. Menu options were explained and extra portion sizes were enough so were weren't over sold items we wouldn't be able to fit in which I really liked. All in all a pleasant evening especially with the kind gesture of the lemoncello shots 🙂

Me & the hubby used to love eating here. We haven't been for about a year so decided to have a date night & we was so disappointed! I had ordered a diet Coke to begin with (currently pregnant so was pretty much the only option available), I could see the bar from where we was seated & the Coke was out of a bottle & when it was served it was flat & tasted awful! The food has massively gone downhill & you could tell it simply wasn't fresh. The garlic bread was 100% shop bought from a freezer section & from an Italian restaurant, you would at least expect the garlic bread to be fully fresh! The starters & mains were quite sloppy in terms of how it was served. Just looked like it had been thrown together on the plate, no presentation & didn't taste the best. Whilst the food was massively disappointing, the service was spot on & cannot fault the staff but unfortunately will not...

A little Gem In Barnsley! Romanos in a blend of great service and quality food. I've been going there for many years. Since last year I no longer live in Bannsley, however, when I do go back I head to Romanos, this being my top choice. Salvo [the owner] and his long serving staff always remember me with open arms, big smiles and a massive welcome. That's even before I sit down. Salvo always try’s to bring Italy to you, he usually plays authentic Italian music, fitting to the décor and ambience. Equally so, don’t be shy to ask him to play “That’s Amore” Usually the whole restaurant joins in the sing along, thus adding lots of fun and giggles at the dinner table.! This little understated restaurant is a great find for anyone wanting a warm atmosphere, big smiles and fantastic wholesome food. I would recommend it to anyone. You won’t be...

I’m not one to leave a bad review but this was really bad the food is so poor to say it’s supposed to be a proper Italian and bistro the pasta was really watery and the pizza tasted and looked like it was bought from Asda and chucked in the oven( I’m on about the cheap ones from Asda too) I was really looking forward to this but I’m having to cook my own food at home instead also there were no social distancing at all when we went to collect the food all the tables were close together and even the staff were pretty slow I’m sorry to have to leave such a bad review sorry to sound...
