Nando's Barnsley — Restaurant in Barnsley

Overall terrible experience at Barnsley glass works restaurant, first of all we didn’t receive a whole chicken which we ordered after the lady at the till had repeated the order twice while at the till! We then informed a member of staff about this and she said she will see about this, she then went onto say the whole chicken had not been put through the till after the lady at the till had repeated the order twice! She did not apologise at all but stated she would bring the card machine over the pay for the chicken, she was very rude!! No time tag was present to get her name! Barely any staff member had name badges on. After this while we was eating the manager or supervisor sophie (we had to ask several members of staff for her name as most of them refused to give her name) sat down on the table next to us which was bare in mind 2ft away with a member of staff to start what looked like a meeting during this meeting (I could hear every single word shared and the restaurant was fairly busy) she informed her she had been sacked by showing her a letter and stating her P45 would be sent through the post at this point the member of staff burst into tears, Sophie showed no remorse and was soon after laughing and joking with the rest of the staff and then went out to the front with 2 other mangers/supervisors to smoke a cigarette which left no manager in the restaurant while we made a complaint, so two younger staff members had to deal with this and appeared to have no clue what to do, which is fair enough as this is a mangers job but they were all sat outside smoking! Went for my birthday meal with my family, As a regular it's normally okay with service (very fast at starters and dishing mains out)

However it was an exception on this visit, Walked in about 6:30pm to be told we haven't got space to seat you after seeing about 3 tables that were clean but we were happy to wait the young server took our number and said they would ring us back, We waited about 45 minutes (still no phone call) so decided to go back and ask... they had forgot to ring us back so got complimentary drinks each. The manager made sure at first she prioritised us for seating and then we made our order as normal at the till... We had our starters which were gorgeous but then the same young waitress came out and went to plonk our mains on the table when we was still eating our starters.! We was told by the manager this is what they normally do ! (I don't know what restaraunt serves starters and mains together?) The young waitress then went back talking about the situation across the restaraunt to her friend. Which we also concerned to the manager about and she just argued and said she didn't to my mum... I felt really uncomfortable and didn't enjoy the experience and atmosphere which I normally do.

Overall we understand they were busy but to be talked about from the other end of the restaraunt is unacceptable after they bring the mains 5 minutes or so after the starters and the disregard to call us back...

When me and my friends went for a meal here we all ordered separately. My friend ordered a completely plain pitta with just the chicken on as she is autistic and doesn’t like certain textures. My other friend ordered some sort of burger. When the meals came out the pitta has all the stuff on that she specifically asked to not be on. My other friend’s burger came out and it was just a chunk of chicken on a plate with no bread. All confused we understand mistakes happen we decide to leave it as it didn’t really matter. But the attitude of the waitress that served us was disgusting and she acted like us being there was a massive inconvenience for her. My friend payed cash and the person serving did not have the change in the till so he said he would bring it over to the table. The change was never brought over till at the end of the night we got up and asked to which they were all very confused until one of the men said “oh shit I forgot, here” and gave her the change.
