As with all in-town McDonald's, expect long drive thru queues, which may possibly have beenade worse whilst the restaurant at the leisure park is closed (reopens 14th june I think). There is only disabled parking outside the restaurant, however, there are always plenty of spaces in the retail park just past the restaurant a minutes walk away. Friendly staff. The food is ok. The buns aren't over toasted which is a plus. Still using the disgusting McDonald's ketchup (guys you have to win back heinz!!). Other than that the chip fast could do with changing a bit more frequently.

Was a drive-through collection. The McFlurrys are lovely as normal. But the 2 pies are a different story. The apple one had a bin time that had expired 45 minutes before & to my disgust, the double chocolate pie had a disposal time of almost 2 hours prior to my purchase. I am really unhappy with the quality this time. How hard is it to lppk at the time of disposal. And it's not the first time being disappointed by their quality. Have been given cheese in my birgers when specifically told im illergicto it. To the point of asking at the window if it was right.

Really nice, clean McDonald’s. It wasn’t very busy when I arrived on a Friday 8:30am. Literally received my food in a few minutes and it tasted great. Really tidy outside a well kept restaurant. Reason for 4 star is there is no onsite parking so you have to go to the main retail park and walk up a hill. There is one just up from the McDonalds but i don’t think it’s very safe to walk up there if you have young children or a push chair as there isn’t really a path. (See photos) There is however a drive through.

Drive thru - ordered food and went to first window. Paid by contactless and told payment gone through and to go to next window. Given OJ and coffee and serving window and told to wait on the rest of the order. Opened OJ and had a slurp of the coffee. Then told my payment didn’t go through. Ah ok I probably need to put my pin in the payment terminal. Offered to do payment again but told they don’t have a payment terminal at that window. Window server said he could ‘take’ my card and tap it at the payment terminal at first window. I explained that it would require the pin so that wouldn’t work. Manager came to window and offered the same thing to take my card to the first window. I explained again that the pin will be required. Manager asked me to drive around and start again at first window. So, they wanted me to queue up again to which I refused as I could see a queue of vehicles behind me. I was then asked to leave the site, park up and walk into the site, queue up and then pay. Again I refused to do this on the grounds that I used a drive thru (plus it was raining). These were only options given to me. Manager wanted the open OJ and slurped coffee back. I left the site, parked up, queued up in site and returned the opened OJ and slurped coffee and left.

The mistake was made at the first window by McDonalds (not me). As a customer I have been directed impacted by the McDonalds mistake. Trying to take someone’s card to use it for a contactless payment is concerning and not listening to the customer is damning.

My suggestion for your retail drive thru sites is to have contingency in place when something goes wrong that...

Today I went to Mac Donald’s at Brighton hill just after 12.00 lunch time, we made our order then we went to the next counter and paid, then on the next counter the lady told us to park up, park up what, I didn’t know so I asked where what, unsure the lady said go park up, still unsure what she meant I said where what happens she said go park up, I still had to ask what happens will the people come find us and bring the food how will they know who we are and where we’ve parked, park out front they will find you, so we moved on and parked out front they’re was only 2 spaces, then as we waited more people came out to park up, one parked in the disabled space, then more they parked in the entrance to come in and go out, we waited, we saw a lady walking around with food she gave some to one car I asked if she had the same food as we ordered and she did so we rock it, and then moved to get out the entrance was blocked by other cars waiting for their order, I had to ask them to move as we had to go as we had a hospital appointment, we thought piping into Mac Donald’s drive through would be quick that’s why we chose it, but after all it made us late for our appointment, one thing pushing people through and food is not ready is really not good, and there is not waiting room in the car park there there is only a few places, very easy to be given the wrong order, we got the same as we’d ordered even if it wasn’t we’ve of taken it because we couldn’t afford to wait anymore. Not good, will be thinking carefully before we...

Yesterday sat was really busy the Brighton Hill center. I hv to queue up 25 mins at drive in before i arrived at the order counter n even then i wasn't served immediatelyn had to wait another 10 mins or more. I didn't say anything as I understand current pandemic fast food joint only ones opened so im glad they hv business coming in. I hv another friend in the car, so ww hv 2 separate orders. Wheb the food was given to me the server has put both orders into 1 big bag. I told her its 2 separate put order's n pls split it out. The server tries say it he fine in 1 bag. N i hv to reply n say no irs not fine cos it's 2 separate orders. Anyways she took my bag back n then pass me 2 orders in 2 bags. My order in a paper bag was 2 medium meals 2 apple pies n 2 millionaire donuts n 3 drinks. When i reached home n step out of my car , the paperback split n all the food fell off the bag to tge ground. All over the dirty muddy ground. I was furious !! U don't want to hear ny colorful language at that time nor was i driving bk there n queue up another 30 mins!! I tried to ring but no one answered my calls. I known no one will as they were so busy. I managed to get thru much much later n spoke to their shift leader. I think her name was milly. She was very apologetic n asked if I cud come over now n she can re pack my orders for me. I cudnt n she said she will write in the book my name n i can come anytime. Im glad there will make amends but seriously stop being tight with take away...
