This place is run by a very friendly, welcoming couple, Sicilian Luca and his wife Kim.

The food is divine, bursting with flavour and exactly what you'd find in Italy! The pannini are delicious, the best I've tasted. The calzone are that Saturday treat, but oh the arancini, or balls of rice filled with gems of flavour, are so authentic that you'll believe you're in Sicily!

I don't like coffee, but I've been assured by many that it is the best coffee they've tasted in this country! The iced coffee makes me wish I did like coffee!

Ah the gelato! Now this is very good and there are several flavours to tickle your taste buds and make you feel like you really are in Italy. Pistachio, hazelnut, LEMON SORBET, chocolate, strawberry, mixed berries... several more!

The shop is bursting at the seams with so many incredibly exciting foods! Some of these come from Sciacca, close to where Luca was born. Even Dolce & Gabbana have chosen Sciacca for their 2019 collection, and when you taste this food, you'll understand why!

The shop is tiny, typical of a genuine Italian cafeteria, BUT you can also sit outside and watch the world go by, as you relax in the suntrap and enjoy dreaming of days in Italy.

Was looking for a sandwich and unfortunately turned right and found a Greggs first. Came out and saw Mama Giusis! Looked ace and interesting from the outside so popped in for a look, wow. Small but great atmosphere made me buy virtually one of every sweet treat on display and had a coffee. The sandwiches looked amazing and I felt ashamed with my Greggs. Coffee was great, vibe brilliant and when I got home the cannollis were superb too. Next time I’m in Retford I’m straight in for lunch! Only put 4 stars for food as didn’t have opportunity to try their savoury options but the sweets...

The price may put some off but its better than what they charge, severely better. The food The paninis are out of this world, soft chewy and crunchy. Full of fresh ingredients, home made calzones and fresh bread. With a wonderful wide range of goods sold as well, authentic Italian pasta with a wide range of Italian oils and great pampas. Customer service. The customer service here is great always a smile from all the staff that works there.
