Taste — Restaurant in Bassetlaw

Seriously the best customer service experience.

This is a menu unlike any other. Taste by name, taste by nature. Unusually, they're wasn't anything on the menu I didn't like. It was all so very tempting.

The Ploughman's had 3 cheeses and plenty of variety; it was served with a delicious warm baguette and butter.

The extra big breakfast was very much enjoyed.

I asked for tap water and was surprisingly brought a glass of water, complete with ice and lemon. Attention to detail is excellent.

The child changing facilities were in the toilet, but a clean change mat and stand were provided.

When we had an issue with something, the staff were exceptional.

Today I visited Taste with a friend for afternoon tea and I've got to say I was very, very disappointed with it. First of all we ordered ham on our sandwiches and they forgot to put the ham in the sandwich to which a lady had to bring it out after we had already started eating them, we then had scones, but we were given no butter or jam so the lady had to bring us that and we ordered a lemon and chocolate cupcakes to be told we could only have two lemon cupcakes to which when we ate them they where very dry and didn't taste very fresh at all. Fabulous little place, good service, lovely food. We had BLTs and vegan chocolate cake with drinks. Very tasty, extremely filling. The deserts looked incredible. Because it's such a tiny place (6/7 tables only)and people were being turned away, we felt we should hurry to vacate our table probably a bit sooner than we would have otherwise done.
