Unhappily we had been to Martini's in their closing week, but as he knew we often went to Rustico in the past we were tipped off by our favourite waiter that Darix was opening Pane e vino.
So as soon as it opened we popped along for a few coffees and lunches. Now hooked we have also gone for a couple of Darix's evening dinners. Both were excellent the first night with a main of Plaice and more recently Beef Tenderloin. Both meals were fabulous. Both those evening were £45 per head for 4/3 courses plus wine.

Read moreI have visited this place a few times for dinner and always had great experiences so much so that I brought there visiting friends and they were all impressed. I went for lunch last week with a friend and again I was really pleased. I had a seabass , extremely fresh and very tasty. My friend was very happy with her salad. We also shared a carpaccio and garlic bread to start . All top notch. Service was welcoming and attentive. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh , home made food cooked and served with real passion and care. Great selection of wines as well and great background music....
Read moreIn a word: authentic. I was gutted when Rustico Italiano closed down a couple of years ago as it was one of the last truly authentic, personal and delicious places to go for food in Bath. I stumbled upon this last week and had a lovely lunch at a very reasonable price.
When I told the guy that I was delighted I’d found it since Bath had nothing quite like it since Rustico Italiano closed, he proudly told me he ran Rustico and the back story behind it!
