This is my favourite café in all of Bath. I love this café. It is stunning inside. The service is great. The food is great. I love everything about BTP Alfred Street. Except one thing. I'm very, very, very sad that they have virtually omitted avocado from the menu. The only way you can obtain avocado is by ordering it with smoked salmon. I used to always order the Smashed Avocado on Sourdough with poached egg. This has been replaced with Smashed Peas on Sourdough with poached egg. The menu explains that this is a 'more sustainable version' of my favourite Avocado on Toast. I'm not sure about the sustainability thing but peas mashed with almonds does not equal avocado. The smashed peas are cold and do not have that smooth texture. Having warm toast and warm poached eggs with cold peas in the middle sadly is not a substitute for my old favourite. Also worth mentioning is that one can no longer order avocado as a side dish. Please bring back avocado. Thank you.

If Brunch is in the question, then there is no question of where I chose to go! I LOVEEEEE this venue it's so light and airy and spacious and relaxing but also exciting with the chatter of everyone enjoying their food and company. Vegan options are am absolute 10/10 !! Its so refreshing to see things that aren't just the same old stuff, like scrambled sweetcorn ?! Bring it on (so delicious btw) and a smashed pea and almond toast (I am in need of recreating this!) I had to buy myself a slice of coffee cake before I left too because... I simply could not RESIST and I am so glad I did because it was even better than I expected and my expectations were pretty high after the brunch set the bar!! Not to mention how absolutelyyyyy lovely the staff were, I wanna be friends with them all low key hahaha!! They made us feel so at home. Next time I'm back in bath I will be back here too!

Went here for a breakfast based on the reviews! We were not disappointed at all! Ambience food and service all on point! They happily replaced ham with bacon on our eggs Benedict! Food was delicious, best hash browns we have ever had ! Usually you find breakfast places just use the frozen hash browns but these definitely were cooked in house! So crispy and flavourful! Loved the overall seasoning on the eggs Benedict! Coffee was good as well There was some mix up with our order due to which they forgot bacon when we informed the cafe staff they happily took it back and brought it back with bacon! During the wait the staff came over to apologise for the mistake and offered us tea/coffee on the house which we didn’t realise ! When we went to pay for the extra coffee they didn’t take the money for it! This is good customer service and makes you feel valued as a customer!

Don’t let the website photos fool you,the nice looking booths have been replaced by grim tables and chairs, and the plants are dead as a dodo. Brunch was on a similar level of quality to a Morrisons cafe - bland and lacking in flavour/quality sure there’s better places in Bath for food. Entire service was done via a QR code/app situation, which is great for introverts I suppose, but I don’t think there should really be another code on the table for tipping staff when the only interaction is someone dropping lukewarm supermarket grade food on the table. Not their fault at all I’d love to have a chat with a knowledgable server, but no doubt BTP are taking advantage of the situation by having less staff on to save on the wage bill. Disappointing as I’d heard good things in the past.

A vibrant place which is very popular and serves great food. There is seating for 130 people, though being a spacious place you don't feel that there's that many there, except for when you place your food order and told that it will be a while before it's served. Though are food was delivered in just over half the time stated, not that we were that fussed as we knew it would be worth the wait, which it was. The menu is varied with, breakfast, brunch and lunch offering, which all cater for most dietyr needs. There's also a wide choice of teas, coffees, cakes, soft drinks and alcohol beverages for Thor's just wanting a drink. A great place to eat and thoroughly recommended.
