Was in here Friday night had no issues getting inside the door same bouncers as always on the door ..

came here Saturday night different bouncer on the door never seen him there before I have been here numerous times ..

He was eyeballing me as I was heading towards the bar this was at 11pm I was saying to myself why is he staring me down walked over towards the entrance he said to me and my wife we are closed I didn't hear him properly he said we are closed bearing in mind the pub was absolute jam packed and full of life ...

Prior to that I was in there the night before on Friday just gone and I was in there until 1.30am before they closed the doors...

This particular security guard on the door lied to my face as he didn't want us in the bar telling us it was shut ..

We walked pass closer to 1 o clock and it was still opened ..

I have video recording of us been refused and been told it was closed when we arrived at around 11pm...

And I also have a recording of it still open closer to 1 o clock..

As I am a member of the traveling community I was point blank refused and lied to been told the bar was closed when it was clearly open by that specific bouncer on the door ...

I have video footage of everything and I will be taking legal court proceedings against this bar for the way I was lied to and treated .. No other word to describe only discrimination at its finest been told a bar is closing at 11 while it was still well and live at closer to 1 o clock...

DISCRIMINATION IS THE ONLY WORD

I will be speaking with my solicitor today about this ..

And it will be the last time I will come here after been here many times without issues I will never step foot...

As someone who has worked in the bar industry for four years, I was particularly disappointed by my recent experience at a The Points . My friends and I visited the bar on St. Patrick's Day and were not let in despite waiting in line. While waiting, we were also harassed by a fellow patron, and when we reported the incident to the bouncers, they did nothing to address the situation. This lack of action was particularly concerning given my background in the industry and knowledge of proper safety and security protocols.

I understand that bars can be busy and chaotic, but it's essential that establishments prioritize the safety and well-being of their customers. Ignoring reports of harassment creates a hostile environment and can put patrons at risk. Additionally, being denied entry despite waiting in line was frustrating and contributed to a negative overall experience.

Despite these issues, the atmosphere and ambiance of The Points were enjoyable. The festive decor and music were in line with the St. Patrick's Day theme, and the drinks were reasonably priced. However, the lack of action by the bouncers in response to the harassment and the denial of entry were major letdowns.

Overall, my experience at The Points was disappointing, particularly given my background in the bar industry. I would advise caution to anyone considering visiting this bar, and I hope that they take steps to improve their handling of incidents of harassment and entry procedures...

This bar was one of my favorites in the town but just last night i order a £50 round of drinks for my table. Out of the order 3 pints arrived before a bouncer told us its closing time. I was directed to the assistant manager Gráinne who after looking at the table agreed and told me to keep the receipt as the tills had been closed for the night and to come down the next day for a refund or the missing drinks if i fancied it. upon arriving with the receipt both the assistant manager and the server Charlie said the drinks were delivered and perhaps another customer could have stolen the rest when passing by! Please keep in mind this is post Covid-19. Its table service only and you are not allowed to leave your table so i believe we would have noticed someone making off with 3 pints and 2 rums(mixer and all). The assistants manger response was then "Sorry there nothing i can do, you paid for the drinks. We need to get back to it sorry again", service here was appalling no effort made...

The female Bar Manager was unbelievably rude to us. She told us off for whistling in appreciation of the music after a song ended - it was so ridiculous, like a referee yelling at fans for celebrating a goal. Everyone around us seemed shocked by her behaviour. Then she took it even further by refusing to serve us. When I tried to reason with her, she had me kicked out. Apparently, you're only allowed to enjoy the music if you just sit there emotionless like statues, or else you risk her wrath. We were in a big group, and everyone agreed, along with the other customers near us, that her behaviour and attitude was awful. The place was pretty dead, even for a Friday night, if anything we were actually creating a bit of atmosphere. I was happy to leave by that point anyway because the place is freezing, even with the fire lit. There are much better bars elsewhere in Belfast that are warm and more welcoming. Avoid.

Very loud pub with Irish music every evening. The pub was very dark with black ceilings and walls. There were people dancing in front of the stage. Downside was it said alehouse, but only had smithwicks and other commercial drinks, some real ales from local breweries would shortly go down well, giving a bit of diversity to the drinks every other pub has. The entertainment was good though, the noise in the pub did overshadow the singing and music. Bit disappointing, but. Everyone was enjoying the evening

Went here with friends. Ordered drinks including 2 bottles of wine. Staff brought us down 2 glasses of wine instead. Had to show the reciept to get it corrected. Waited an hour before having to ask staff to take another drinks order. Our group took a few seconds to decide what to order and the waitress said “can you hurry up, I’ve people wanting to order inside”. We got up and left. Also check out the state of the wine glass we were given. My mate had to drink out of an empty Schwepps bottle.
