Chickn Lickn — Restaurant in Belfast

There should be a ZERO option in this as I wouldn't even give it a 1.....my son and I got food from here at 9pm on Friday the 26th of September 2025. We were staying at the hotel right beside it so was handy for a late supper and who doesn't like fried chicken right.....wrong! My son can't even look at a sign for chicken now. Here goes, we tried to eat our food, Chips were cold, floppy and tasteless. I ate 2, my son ate all his chips as he was hungry and you know how 15year old boys can eat. He ate some if his chicken gravy but it was like cold jelly. He ate 5 of his chicken strips and left the rest. My chicken burger was tough as old boots and dried to it's core. Never again, as one hour later my son ran to the bathroom and was coming out of both ends for 24 hours.......we had an awful time and he missed the Anime and ComiCon VIP tickets that I got him for passing his exams. Don't go here please, unless you want vomit and have severe diarrhea for 24+ hours. I did meet the manager and he offered us more food!!!!! He was a joke very dismissive and condescending. I remained calm and collected as I am reporting them. Oh! And here is the cherry on the top, their website is now down for that particular branch on the Dublin Road.... All I could do was laugh. Guess they are getting their house in order ATM and not accepting any reviews ATM either. Save yourself contracting bacteria like Campylobacter and Salmonella. This is an honest review folks......steer clear. If anyone wants the rest of the story or more details feel free...

After a visit to the cinema with the wife and 2 kids we decided for some food before heading home. As Chick'n Lick'n was only across the Rd and near the car park. We decided we will try it out for our 1st time. Ordered two Popcorn meals for kids and 2 Zinger meals for my wife and myself. Although I decided on large. The staff member told us to take a seat. We waited and waited and waited. 2 different families arrived and ordered after us and recieved there food before us. So I asked staff member is our food nearly ready. He told me 2 mins. After a further 6 - 7 mins someone shouts out Zinger burger. In total probably waited near 20 mins. Thought at least food could of been brought down to our table. Kids popcorn meals seemed ok but my Zinger burger was horrible. The word Zinger I thought meant a bit of taste. I got the tasteless burger even with one slice of lettuce and a squeeze of mayo on top. The burger again was more like a pancake and I wasn't sure if it was probably cooked or not. My wife also thought there was no taste from her Zinger burger. I remembered I ordered a large meal and paid 50p extra for it. Got a few extra chips. Thought maybe a large drink. No just a can of diet coke. Oh and we always noticed on the way out the Food and Hygiene rating wasn't displayed on the front door/window. I wonder why. Next time I will check out reviews first as this one hasn't got too...

Don’t have a medical emergency in this restaurant!! Walked passed and there was a person unconscious on the floor. We asked the worker if he had called 999 and he told us the guy was probably just drunk and sleeping and he didn’t have time to deal with things like that. We called ourselves and when the ambulance did arrive, the person did need medical attention.

The worker was completely unconcerned about the man’s wellbeing. As a tourist, I didn’t have a plan to make phone calls, so I borrowed an Uber driver’s phone to call. When the Uber driver had to go, the operator called the worker on the store phone. He kept giving inaccurate information, much of it from behind the counter, repeating that the person was just sleeping when they clearly were not and implying that they didn’t deserve medical care because he sees them everyday and they seem like they’re on drugs.

As a student, I know it’s hard to work in customer service jobs for only minimum wage, however, it’s incredibly negligent to let people continue to lie on the floor of a restaurant when they very obviously are not okay. People’s lives and well-being should come above...
