So, after hearing rave reviews, we decided to venture into this restaurant right in the heart of Lozells Road. Upon entering, we were shown to a table for two by a charming lady who was polite enough to distract us from the decor—which looked like it had been tackled by a DIY enthusiast with questionable taste. No sooner had we parked ourselves than we were asked if we fancied some papadoms. Obviously, we agreed because who says no to papadoms? Next, the menu hits us with a shocker: a 50p surcharge for the “desi” style, which they say means “authentic.” Not sure who advised them on this word choice, but it’s like a 50p grandstand of desperation! When the food arrived, the seekh kebabs honestly weren’t too bad, but the curry was another story. We had specifically demanded it be spicy and super "desi" since we were paying that infamous 50p extra! Yet, it was so mild it could’ve swapped wardrobes with vanilla ice cream. The taste was alright, but the ambiance left us in the cold—literally. We ate with our jackets zipped up tighter than the curry was spicy. Got to say, the staff were decent; props to them. But seriously, they need to up their food game, and that 50p nonsense? Come on, this isn’t a 90’s throwback cafeteria!

These lot are no good, ordered a takeaway and repeated my order step by step twice and the guy over the phone then repeated after me, took the food home only to discover parts of my order was not there... phoned them an the guy over the phone apologised even tho i knew he didnt mean it did not really seem that bothered told him i came all the way down from walsall, did not offer a refund or anything.. the rest of the food was just ok, the best part was the chilli n mint yogurt they were nice apart from that they made me angry n raised my blood pressure overall ruining my evening.. so i wouldnt bother with these again unless if i became the manager myself n started baby sitting them through every order, i just dont understand how you can get it wrong when there was nobody inside neither was the phones dinging off, actually, i do realise why they wasnt busy, they making a habit of shorting customers on orders. Also the place has no parking absolute nightmare to get any parking.

Very nice food! We went for the Chef platter which consisted of 2x lamb sheesh, 2x chicken sheesh, 4x lamb chops, 8x wings, 2x tandoori chicken leg, fish tikka, 2x naan/fries or rice. Definitely worth the £30, all freshly made, juicy and tender. The fish was really good, stood out for me. We also went for a Keema Tawa, very delicious we was recommended to get it slightly dry and that was perfect. One of the nicest keema dishes I’ve had, nice touch of ginger on top too. Service was brilliant, the brother in there with the glasses who supports Newcastle is a top guy, down to earth. Looked after us well. Only downfall for me is the decor, wasn’t the nicest and most welcoming but don’t let it put you off.

Ordered lamb chops, spicy wings, meat seekh kebab, fish tikka, naan and chips. The chops were nice and a large size, the wings were nice, can't comment on the meat seekh kebabs as they didn't give them to us unfortunately and instead we found chicken tikka was given, they didn't inform us of the substitution, would have preferred to know instead of having chicken tikka forced on us. If you don't have something then tell your customers and be honest And at least substitute with a like for like could have put chapli kebabs in instead or shami kebabs, Wasn't that helpful when we called and pointed out what had happened. The salad given was nice and fresh and the mint yogurt and chilli sauce was nice. The chicken tikka was OK, The naan was average. The chips were no good unfortunately. Poppadom was nice. The fish tikka was tasty but found a huge bone so just be careful when eating any fish from here. In two minds regarding if would order again from here again or not purely based on the seekh kebab mishap and due to the bone In the fish and the chips...
