Upon arriving at the store you will note a clear and specific sign on entry allowing up to 6 people inside at any one time.

However there were already 13 people inside the store. The first instance of covid regulations not being followed.

I attempted to wait outside however customers arriving after I did proceeded to ignore the notice and enter the store anyway.

Inside the store approximately 50% of the customers were wearing masks. The other half omitting to wear a mask or wore them incorrectly.

None of the staff behind the counter wore a mask in favour of the a perspex divider between them and customers.

A problem however arose when I addressed the fact there were more than 6 customers in the store as prohibited by their signage.

I was told "we can't do anything about it" and asked "how are we supposed to limit customers coming in”

I suggested that a partition in the store could easily limit the number of customers accumulating inside.

The reply i received from a member of staff was , "who are you"?

My reply, "I'm a customer". I am not sure if they thought that I was some sort of official as opposed to a customer trying to abide by their own written covid guidelines on the door.

I left the store feeling grubby as the store itself was unclean, relieved to get away from the heckling group of potential COVID spreading teenagers boys who had gathered with no care for...

I had one of the worst takeaway experiences of my life at this place.From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was off – the place felt unclean and neglected. The staff were completely unprofessional, just standing around talking to each other. The main guy at the counter had a seriously arrogant attitude.

To make matters worse, they charged me an extra 50p without telling me – no explanation, no justification, just added to the bill for absolutely nothing. The food itself was disgusting. I ordered takeaway chips, and they looked like they had been scooped out of someone else’s leftover box – soggy, greasy, and a complete mess. Honestly, they looked like waste food that was reheated and handed to me with zero care or hygiene. The burger was not tasty at all. I don’t wanna eat after reading reviews of it.

After my experience, I checked the reviews online and was absolutely horrified to see people mentioning worms amd insects inside the chips! That made me feel physically sick. I didn’t see worms myself, but after eating a few chips, I felt like vomiting – that’s how bad it was. I tried to call them as well but nobody answered. This place is a complete disgrace, and I would strongly advise anyone to stay far away. It’s not just bad service and bad food – it feels genuinely unsafe to eat here. Total waste of money and a deeply unpleasant experience from start to finish....

I recently had the chance to visit Saqib Kabab House in Lozells, and I feel it's important to share my thoughts on the experience. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite what I had hoped for. One of the most noticeable issues was the saltiness of the food. It seemed like every dish I tried was over-seasoned, which made it difficult to appreciate the unique flavors that should have been there. Instead of enhancing the meal, the saltiness overshadowed everything, leaving a lingering taste that wasn't very pleasant.

Another aspect that stood out to me was the portion sizes. They were surprisingly small for the price point. I expected to leave feeling satisfied, but I found myself still hungry after my meal. It felt like I was paying a premium for a meal that didn't quite deliver in terms of quantity. This was particularly disappointing, as I remember enjoying generous portions during my previous visits.

Overall, I would rate Saqib Kabab House a 3-star experience. It's clear that they have some work to do to regain their former quality. I genuinely hope they can address these issues soon, as I would love to see them back to their best.
