It was my first time visiting the store today with a family member. I was so excited to visit Costco only to end the day painfully upset and in tears.
When heading to the Till to checkout our items, I was given disgusting glares by Aleena R - an Asian lady with a headscarf and gold ring on her finger. She was looking at me as if I had done something wrong and in such a way that it seemed like she did not want to serve me as a customer. I would have been happy to turn to another Till as the staff seemed more friendlier there anyways.
Aleena R was rude with her orders, commanding me and my family member to push the trolley to one side. After listening to her orders, my family member told her how many crates of water where in the trolley. She refused to listen and was arrogantly counting away. This made me and my family member feel upset and ignored since she was refusing to listen or communicate correctly with us.
When it came to processing and scanning the items, she wrongfully entered a smaller quantity, than what we had told her, and became very defensive when reminded that she should have listened to what my family member had told her. She started to shout 'There's no need to be rude' and had a smug face.
Definitely will not be coming to this Costco store again or I may come again but refuse to be served by Aleena R. I definitely feel that Aleena R needs to have some further training on how to provide good customer service and how to count items correctly - a basic skill that would be expected by any staff member in a busy retail/wholesale store.
My advice to you all is to avoid her as much as possible when it comes to the checkout of your items unless you want to have a similar experience that I had.
