Mak Halal Alum Rock — Restaurant in Birmingham

Vile raw chicken!! Have had mak halal in various other branches and never had a problem. Today I took my kids to eat in the alum rock branch and although the taste wasn’t too bad the chicken was raw, you could literally see the bright red blood as you squeezed it. I took it back to the counter and they said it’s a cooked vein. Honey, I know what a cooked vein looks like and it’s certainly NOT bright red with blood oozing out. They didn’t even offer a refund!!!

Edit- cannot reply to owners response so here it is. No a refund was NOT offered so stop lying to save your self from embarrassment, you asked if I would like another meal, and I rejected it. As if I’m gonna eat another meal after the first fiasco. Secondly I can’t stop vomiting, and you have single handedly put me off chicken. Thirdly, the blood was at one section of the panini and that happened to be towards the end, you really think I’m vomiting for fun? I even showed you the blood. You have a lack of decency, instead of owning up and admitting your mistake, you decide to act like I’m lying. But that’s fine I have photos and have informed relavant authorities. Thanks for the food poisoning and undercooking your meats I didn’t realise that’s the latest craze.

COLD FOOD AND A COLD DEAL My daughter ordered what was advertised as a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ deal from the Alum Rock branch. I went to collect the order on time and was told it would be ready in four minutes as they were waiting on the pizza. The other items were already packed and waiting.

After about five minutes, I saw pizzas come out of the oven and handed to a waiting Uber Eats driver. I assumed mine would be next, but after waiting an additional 15 minutes, I had to approach staff again. Only then was my order handed to me, meaning the other items were cold by the time I received everything.

While delays can happen, what really left a bad impression was the so-called "Buy One Get One Free" £19.99 M.A.K Deal. On closer inspection, the same items are available as MAK Deal 1 for £9.99 as per picture below.

I found this misleading and disappointing. It made me question the fairness and honesty behind the promotion.
