Vivace Cafe & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Birmingham

Have been here twice, but both times were for a coffee and cake. Their pistachio latte is very nice, bit on the pricey side for what it is, but as a one off I guess one could forgive it. This was accompanied by the 'Dream Cake' and Knafa Brownie, both were very nice, I think for the price being paid, you'd expect a little more to them in terms of presentation as they come pre made in little paper/plasticy metal pots. Tatse-wise, they were both good but the brownie was better as it had more layers to it and went better with a hot drink.

Second visit, had a regular latte with a cinnamon swirl and almond croissant, sadly the pastry did not live up to it, unsure if this was due to the items being taken away on this occasion and the first was in store. The waiter prepared the pastry as though we were sitting in, but when reminded he did pack it for us. But the pastry was warm when we ate it later, so, unsure if that is what dried it out as we didn't have it immediately, but the almond croissant was a big let down for me as there was no almond paste inside it? That's the main reason for ordering one! Cinnamon swirl was nice, ever so slight bitter taste due to the cinnamon, overall wasn't too bad, but won't be buying the almond croissant again.

Nice interior, lovely decoration, very calm atmosphere, although I did go later when it is usually a quieter time.

Yet to try their fast food, so keep checking this space.

Recently visited Vivace and as a professional food reviewer I can definitely say it is an absolute gem in the heart of Alum Rock! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is nothing short of exceptional. Their pizzas are freshly made with high-quality ingredients, boasting a crispy, perfectly baked crust and a rich, flavorful topping combination. The mocktails made by the amazing hijabi girl were top tier absolutely taking the top spot out of all the mocktails I’ve tried before! Beyond the incredible food, the service here is outstanding. The staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about providing a great experience. They take the time to ensure each customer feels valued and accommodated, which is something you don’t always find. Visited today with my wife and daughter. They have an offer going on currently on pizzas, 50% off. I downloaded their ‘voucher’ online as instructed. No where on the voucher it says 1 pizza per email / voucher / person. When I arrived here, I had 2 emails, one on my phone and one on wife’s. Whilst ordering they insisted it’s 1 pizza per email. I mentioned on where on this email voucher it says it’s 1 pizza per email or voucher. The staffed acknowledged that and said that’s just how they are doing. I informed them it’s false advertisement in that case. I went to speak to the manager and informed him what the staff said and explained I want to order another pizza with 50% discount and the email doesn’t say anywhere it’s only 1 pizza per email / voucher. He kept saying yes we know but we are doing this. It’s not even the words but I found his attitude quite rude. First it’s false advertisement, you are trying to attract more customers by giving 50% off then making up your own rules on the spot and just showing attitude and not accepting your own advertisement. The server was very nice and her name was Nayab. She was understanding and gave good service and checked up on us multiple time and was nice to my little girl.
