A Flavorful Journey at Sajid Shahi restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sajid Shahi, an Asian karahi restaurant that left me truly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
The menu at Sajid Shahi boasts a diverse selection of Asian karahi dishes, showcasing the rich and authentic flavors of the region. After much deliberation, we (me, my wife and aunty) decided to try their Chicken Balti, Veg Samosa chaat, chicken pakoras and Mango Lassi. I can confidently say it was a fantastic choice. The chicken was tender, and the spices were perfectly balanced, creating a meal that was both comforting and exhilarating to the taste buds.
What truly sets Sajid Shahi apart is their commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients. Each bite of the Chicken Balti was a burst of flavor, and we appreciated the attention to detail in the preparation of the dish. All the portion sizes were very generous, making it an excellent value for the price.
The service at Sajid Shahi was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to make recommendations. They created a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced the overall dining experience.
In addition to the delectable food and top-notch service, the restaurant's decor and ambiance added to the charm. The cozy seating and tasteful decor transported me to an Asian culinary haven, making the meal even more enjoyable. The traditional posters along the walls gave my knowledge cells a reboot as well.
To conclude, my visit to Sajid Shahi was a delightful culinary journey through the flavors of Asia/Pakistan. If you're looking for an Authentic Asian karahi restaurant that combines authentic cuisine, attentive service, modern twist and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend giving Sajid Shahi a try. It's an experience that I won't soon forget, and I look forward to returning to savor more of their delectable...

For such a beautifully decorated place and the enormity of the seating capacity, I was amazed that the management is either inexperienced or completely negligent to the idea of better management practices in the form of specialised table service. And as for the cash only , I think the management/proprietors need to align themselves with the 21st century practices. Even in the third world people deal in contactless payments and credits/debit card's. This was in the heart of Birmingham city ,adhering to near stone age practices.
You begin to wonder why a business which is thriving in every sense chooses to take cash only. It makes the mind wonder where that money goes.
It doesn't hurt to pay the true amount to the HMRC.
As manager/proprietor, i would think very deep and hard about the business practice. ( before the HMRC start talking to you.)
It's very rare that I go to Birmingham but when I do , I like to go to places where the locals go. In NOTTINGHAM , things are very orderly and very customer focused. You pay after the meal. Even in the minimalistic place. Enough of the nickpicking.
The food . We ordered a variety of dishes, and all were absolutely wonderful including lamb and chicken Currys, seekh kebab and a lamb biryani.
All the food was very very tasty , just the way I wanted. I am sorry if my review upsets anyone , but l tried to keep it honest , balanced and in line with mainstream food...

The service was prompt and attentive, and our waiter Sonia was helpful in helping us order and providing a warm and comfortable environment, she constantly checked up on us and asked us if we needed any assistance.
The menu was quite diverse, featuring a mix of traditional and modern cuisine from various regions. We started with a shahi tawa that included biryani, naans, daal and a variety of kebabs and lamb chops. All were flavorful and well-presented.
For the kids there was a such a variety to eat from burgers to even popcorn chicken, and it was honestly such a safe environment for the kids they really enjoyed themselves and communicated with the waiters and had a fun time overall
We wrapped up the meal with some pink Kashmiri chai for the adults which was so refreshing! The dessert for the kids was ice cream which they enjoyed very well! Overall, Sajid Shahi Restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience that left us impressed and satisfied.
