Mother India — Restaurant in Birmingham

I ordered from here. Went to collect. They didn’t do the order correctly. I ordered two curries and they gave us one out of the two curries that we ordered. Went back to collect after complaining on the phone. Me and my partner wasn’t at all happy theatres we had to go back to collect. When we went back to collect they gave us the wrong order when we left they phoned again and said to come back to collect another order. They gave us seaweed which we didn’t order and which was disgusting. We asked whether they can deliver the item that we delivered and they said there were no delivery drivers. The food we ordered was nice but we recommend not to order from mother India as we have wasted money. We wanted to order from here for date night as last time when we went here the staff and the food was decent and lovely but now we’re disappointed and we won’t be going back here again or ordering from them again.

Also when we got the 1 out of 2 curry that we ordered the curry tasted disgusting. It tasted watery and not that nice. We are disappointed yet again of the service of...

Since the Induz has changed hands and is now a poor restaurant, I have been looking for a new curry house to appease my weekly curry fix.

I have tried all the curry houses in the Boldmere curry quarter and returned to Mother India on many occasions since.

It is difficult to judge a restaurant on one visit, I prefer to have a few visits to get an overall feel and opinion. In my opinion Mother India ticks all the boxes.

Fresh, quality food served well and efficiently. Nargis Kebab starter, Lamb Naga main course with the usual trimmings is an excellent meal and reasonably priced.

The only addition I could ask for is to be served a fresh pint of draught Cobra to compliment an excellent meal.

We will return again, & again...

Drinks- Needs to serve draught beer to complete the service....

Not very nice experience. Booked table a day before for family outing. But upon arrival had to wait half an hour.Upon seating no one came to serve for at least 20 min ,then serverd papordoms but still no order taken for starters.Kept waiting.Left £5 on table for papordoms which we ate and then walked out to another restaurant near by where we had very good service. They discriminate between their customers and favour the white race, White people were served first whilst they sat us in a tight corner at the back and continued serving others around us, even those who came after us!!!!! No equality in this restaurant, very ironic how they carry an Indian name but discriminate...
