This is a photo of what my meal looked like as i was leaving the restaurant…. I ordered a beef pad thai and was very disappointed to say the least, the sauce was sour and had a strange bitter taste to it, almost as if it had gone off. To make matters worse the noodles were barely cooked and had a chewing gum like texture that was hard to get down. As for the ‘beef’…. I don’t have the time to get into the taste or texture, but it was bad. as for the service? it was worse than the food. Waiters could clearly see my food was untouched and didn’t bother to ask if i wanted a replacement or if i was finding the food okay, which i found extremely unprofessional. It was a running theme throughout the table of almost 20 that many had to ‘take their food home’ in a container because they could barely stomach it, to make matters worse, they had the cheek to charge us for the containers .. quite stingy considering the restaurant isn’t exactly cheap. at the end of the meal and after paying i went to one of the staff ( i think the manager) and told him the food wasn’t great and to my surprise he seemed personally offended and told me there was nothing wrong with the dish as if he had sat and eaten it with me? i then told him that others at the table felt the same way and he said ‘okay please move out the way i have customers’ … I then told my dad about this experience who was not even present and he called the restaurant and managed to get me a refund, quite funny how they quickly offered a man who wasn’t present a refund, but was quick to dismiss my complaints about the food, which i honestly think was down to the fact that i look quite young and he took advantage of the fact that i wasn’t putting up a fight. overall, if you’d like to ruin your day, this is the perfect...

Visited for my birthday, a group of 8 of us. Upon arrival I let them know some people were running late due to heavy traffic, and were told we only had the table for 2 hours which was fine.

We ordered starters before all had arrived knowing some didn't want. None the less, we ended uo waitinv for about 40 minutes for our starters ans uoto an hour for all our mains.

During this time the staff watched our table from a distance whispering and looking at their watches - yet we had waited ages for our food. One waitress - brunette with glasses and a high bun was overheard whispering to her collegue and muttered something along the lines of 'taking the piss', yet acted all shocked when we made it known we heard her.

After dinner we asked for dessert menus. The male waiter angrily agreed as he cleared the table with a face on him creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. He returned 10 minutes later and informed it we couldnt have dessert as they needed the table.

We kindly pointed out the fact that we waited a considerable time for our food and also why he had originally said yes. He replied rudely and runied the suprise that my guests had planned which was a cake.

We spoke to the manager who seemed very nice and apologetic, telling us we no longer had to leave and could stay as long as we wanted. The rest of the staff from then on proceeded to be over the top nice

The food was amazing, as is the venue, but the service - absolutely DISGUSTING, I will never return to the Harbourne branch and would tell everyone I know about this experience.

It's the second time I have been here and once again I was not disappointed, nor were any of my group. There were four of us in total. We hadn't book a table but that was not a problem for a Monday evening visit. The menu has a great choice of food and it's always difficult to choose what to have. However, I can fully recommend Tod Mun Pla (Thai fish Cakes) and Toong Tong (Golden Bags) as this is what we decided on to start. The Tod Mun Pla are gluten free so that was my choice and they were full of flavour and the sweet chilli sauce was a great compliment. My friends raved about the Toong Tong and still are so I'm fairly confident they tasted great too. Unfortunately they're not gf so I couldn't have a taste. However, the words fantastic, Devine and tasty were used to describe them. For a main meal I settled on Geng Bha with prawns. I've not tried this dish before but it was well worth it. Very tasty, full of flavour and spicy. Not to spicy though but one to stay away from if you can't handle spicy. Other dishes on the table were traditional Geng Deng - Thai red curry and two duck dishes Ped Makam and Nam Peung. The duck was cooked to perfection and full of flavour on both plates and well.....The Thai red curry did not disappoint. Possibly my favourite Thai dish and this one was perfect in flavour and taste. Our waitress, Danni was very helpful, patient with our decision making skills, always served with a smile and service was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place to all if good quality tasting Thai food is what you're looking for.
