I expected a café, but what I got was gourmet! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and accommodated. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you enjoy your time. We wanted to get some lunch, and checked out the menu which you can access and order from via their website (QR code on the table). We did not verify whether you can order in person, but it did seem that you could. Food and drinks ordered, we began to wait. But wait for long, we did not. The drinks arrived so quickly that I wasn't even sure it was our order! One of which was a latte! Immediately impressed. But what impressed us even more, was that the burgers and cheese toastie arrived shortly after. Quicker than you sometimes wait for a drink to arrive at other establishments! The portion sizes were just right, and the quality and flavour of the classic burger was incredible, justifying the slightly higher prices than what we expected (or hoped for?). The food is definitely worth it! As mentioned, the staff are brilliant. So friendly and efficient! Highly recommend paying them a visit and seeing what they are all about!

When it comes to breakfast coffee you either want it one of two ways. Fast or delicate. Boston Tea Party keeps raising the bar higher as their approach shows that you can do both with a touch of finesse and I was blown away by the delicate notes of their brew. Firstly, the foam art on the top was terrific, a small foam leaf gazed back at me while I contemplated the ratio of the drink, astounded that I have finally ordered a latte that represents what I make at home. It's smell was that of a fresh dark roast coffee, and the taste was sublime. This is the best coffee I have reviewed so far by a landslide and will become my breakfast place from now on. We did have a mix-up with an order that me and my friend had where our dip was not served with our dishes but instead 3 minutes later with a different friend's dish. This had an awkward exchange which was rectified while we discussed the issue, overall making us seem foolish. The menu has a large variety of options and my group of 8 were all able to find things that suited their tastes.

Boston Tea Party (BTP) is the best chain cafe in Birmingham. Why? Like its other siblings, it doesn't feel like a chain. For one, the staff are a picture of happiness: They greet you with a smile, are courteous and are even custom to a bit of banter (try getting that down to earth interactivity at your average Costa). Whatever the management have instilled in BTP, it has worked on all levels. Firstly, this is a big place, think lounge big. The decor is cool. It's a modern take on the cafe/diner. There are flashes of flora, wood and red leather backrest benches. As my reviews usually elude to, I came for the coffee. I was not disappointed, It was crafted. Fine latte art sat atop a chocolaty, medium roast. I took a quick look at the food created by the kitchen. These guys are pushing the boundary of contemporary brunch cuisine (if you want to take it to the next level please look over Early Bird Bakery's shoulder). Another accommodating place. If I were a coffee chain I would want to be BTP.

Random stop off here for lunch, glad I did as the food was excellent. Service is very good, although walked in at a busy time and didn't realise you aren't just meant to go and sit down at a table. Was quickly greeted and shown to a table. My only gripe about where we sat was that being near the door, there was a frequent cold blast of air everytime someone walked in. Would be good if there was a partition to stop the worst of that. Food ordering and payment was via scanning a QR code to get to their mobile website. As there were 5 of us trying to choose what to eat from my phone screen this took a bit longer than normal. It would have been good to see a menu even if it meant cleaning them between customers. Generally that would make the throughput a little quicker I'd imagine. It was very busy with people turning up and being told there were no tables.

Food was delivered quickly, hot, and delicious. Possibly the most expensive breakfast I've ever had as I added extras I'd never considered having before with it like smoked salmon and avacado. The Boss breakfast which I had, is probably a little stingy as a base because I needed to add another sausage to the one it came with, also removing items like tomatoes and beans has no substitution offer. I may well be a glutton and it's perfectly fine for everyone else. Prices were absolutely reasonable for somewhere to eat in the middle of Birmingham though.

Would be happy to go there again, will attempt not to sit next to the door if I ever do! Very...
