Very very disappointed!!!!! to say the least. My order did not arrive, only to be told somebody left it outside the front door! They Insisted they tried calling & knocking which they did not. My 5 year old was waiting at the window by the front door, looking forward for his treat. He had to go to bed upset and in tears they did not try to rectify the situation. This is absolutely unacceptable will be taking this up furthur.
(Response to the owner in regards to my above review)
Firstly I also have evidence of my call logs and will be happy to provide you with this. Secondly if as you state calls were not answered surely I would have heard the door like I said over the phone our living room is by the front door. Also why would someone place an order on just eat? pay for it? then not answer the door or pick up the phone? And if the order was left outside then where was it? And who in the right mind will leave a food order outside how unhygienic is that! considering half of Birmingham is infested with rats especially where I live by the tram. If that was the case a picture should have been taken by your driver to confirm a delivery was attempted. The order then should have been taken back to the shop and then when we got in touch alertanitve options given about delivery or collection. When I called your staff I was told it's outside then I was told it's on it's way! When on just eat is was still showing as being on its way. My review is completely genuine and honest you should reflect on your not so honest review as we were lied to. And unfortunately scrolling down reviews seems like we have not been the only customers lied to by yourselves. Why would I literally call you asking after my order demanding to know where it was. And where did this order magically disappear as we were told the driver just left? My child was very upset about this we asked to speak to management only for them to come on the phone and argue about this. You did not try to this matter out we asked for a refund which was refused. My order was around £13 wasn't a large order that you were unable to offer this. Nobody cared when they were told of my little son who was upset. This complaint last night was handled very...
Read moreI was really disappointed with this dessert place especially their bubble waffle which is supposed to be their specialty. I was provided with a bubble waffle laid flat with toppings over it like a standard waffle and a small tub of ice-cream. It tasted okay but I would have just ordered a standard waffle in that case. A bubble waffle is usually provided in a cone shape filled to the bottom with ice-cream and other toppings. This is also depicted in the pictures they have which is misleading. I made the mistake of thinking it was a place I could visit to eat in and didn't realise it was a small segregated corner in the local nisa shop with open access between the two areas that I found off putting . The lady at the dessert counter advised us to go downstairs as there was more space to sit there but it was quiet and creepy down there with no music, so we went back upstairs. The dessert was then served in a cardboard take-out box instead of a plate. At this point we decided to just go home as it wasn't a welcoming place to sit and eat. In future I would pop over to dolce next door which is a much more elegant and inviting place to sit and eat. Or if you want to have a bubble waffle I would recommend the grand central or selfridges where they have a small dessert bar that doesn't skimp on the ice-cream
(Edit)- I don't appreciate being falsely accused of working for another dessert company just because you don't like my review. I have been verified on google and my review is truthful to my personal experience. Instead of taking this as constructive feedback you have chosen to discredit me and falsely make accusations against me. This says a lot about the type of people that own this dessert place who are extremely unprofessional and defensive. I've noticed you have attacked other reviewers too who have given this establishment a low rating by accusing them of lying to working for another establishment. Please reflect on the values of your company and your behaviour towards customers. In light of this I will downgrade the rating...
Read moreI think it’s pretty disgusting the response Veronica is getting regarding her recent answer from your establishment in regards to her recent order. The staff on call himself even admitted that it was a NEW member of staff who handled the order in question. Which raises a few red flags regarding your training procedures for new members. Was this person supervised whilst making the order? Especially as they are new to role. Did they understand the difference between a PLAIN banana milkshake and one that has banana AND peanut butter? Did they understand the order that was written in front of them? Did they have a clear understanding of what allergens are and the potential repercussions of cross contamination. Which has clearly happened in this case. It honestly feels that Veronica is being punished for not dying due to YOUR staff’s negligence! Also what adds insult to injury is that the manager tried to sympathise with Veronica by saying his OWN child has a nut allergy. So my question is, if this had happened to his child would he be so lax about how this situation is being dealt with? Also this establishment needs to make sure that they have staff who are capable of answering phones with good spoken English as when this first occurred, the staff member on shift didn’t seem to understand the dangers of the incident that had happened. AND to add further insult to injury, they offered her a free dessert as compensation when it was their establishment that put her in hospital with a fatal reaction in the first place! Given the past incidents where people have DIED from being given the wrong foods, I feel the way this is being dealt with is in VERY poor taste. And everyone involved should be ashamed...
