Sam's Chicken — Restaurant in Birmingham

I recently visited Sam's Chicken Shop, and it was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The customer service was absolutely appalling—rude, unhelpful, and downright unprofessional. The staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to customers, and when they did, it was with a terrible attitude.

What made the experience even worse was the shocking revelation from one of the employees who casually mentioned that the chicken being sold had been sitting out for more than three hours! It’s no surprise that the food was cold, stale, and tasted like it had been reheated multiple times. This is a serious health concern, and I’m honestly surprised this place hasn’t been shut down by health inspectors.

To top it all off, there was an incident of violence that occurred during my visit. A disagreement between a customer and one of the staff members escalated into a physical altercation right in the middle of the shop. It was terrifying to witness, and it left me and other customers feeling extremely unsafe.

I've ordered from Sam's before and it's been alright to be honest. Not ground breaking but edible. Ordered tonight and well.. I ordered a meal that came with plain fries but I also added a additional peri peri fires as my son was having the plain fries. When the order came it contained only plain fries. I also ordered a marinder orange and they sent tango. Then I get to my "peri peri" burger which I paid extra to have sauce. The burger came plain. Just 3 dry as hell pieces of chicken on a bun. With the meal came some "wings". They must of been the wings of a fairy as they had smallest amount of dry chicken and again tasted plain. All of the chips tasted very much like eating damp cardboard boxes. If you're thinking of spending £20 here as you can't be bothered to cook dinner.. just...

Food is normally great. Shop is always clean and tidy and staff are friendly enough. The food usually comes early. Last time we ordered it was mare than an hour and a half for delivery and the food was stale when it came. They also knocked the door and woke my house mate when i specifically requested not to knock. This time, they came early and as always the food was great but again i requested "call phone instead of knocking as newborn baby asleep upstairs". What did the delivery driver do?:) he didnt just knock, he then rang the doorbell and the baby has been crying ever since.. hes one day old. What a joke. How much clearer can i make it?
