Awful service. I called the restaurant to order a delivery. We have eaten at this place numerous times therefore was not expecting the dreadful service. After giving my order and asking a suitable way of pay. I informed the girl I would pay cash. Food arrived and my son handed the driver £30. My order was £25:50p. He informed my son that he does not have any change. I told the driver I would call the restaurant and inform them and make arrangements to collect my change. I called the restaurant and told them. They did not appolgise and said the drivers should have their own change! My son went to dish up his food and was very disappointed when it was stone cold. I went to get the chicken tikka that was also ordered to discover it had not been sent. I called the restaurant back again and my call was not being picked up. I had a feeling the call was caller display and they didn't want to answer my call. I called the number from our landline low and behold picked up on the 1st ring. I explained my frustrations and said that some of the order was missing and the food is freezing cold. I was asked if I would like the tikka replaced? I informed the young lady I would like the whole order replaced and my change back! The person informed me she would need to speak with her manager. She came back on the phone and said unfortunately the kitchen is closed and my manager isn't here! I reminded her that she had just informed me she would need to speak with her manager and if she's going to lie for them I hope they pay her well. After a few more frustrated exchanges she asked her "supervisor" to speak with me. Complete waste of 30 seconds. He informed me that no one was able to make decisions and the manager would call me. I informed him that I would like them to collect the food and give me my money back. Again I was told he could not make those decisions? Why on earth would you have supervisors who can't make decisions? I will be going there tomorrow and I want a full refund! I will...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this Indian for over 3 years now and have been raving about how good the food is to everyone I know. The food is incredible. That is the reason this gets 2 stars instead of 0.
There seems to have been a recent decision to offer the choice of table service (for 5% surcharge) or order at the till. This is really off putting and not a good experience when going for a meal out that isn’t fast food.
As this is the first time I’ve been where this is in place, we went with order at the till. The ordering was fine, and the girls very polite.
The poppadoms came with sauces in small dispensers that were incredibly tacky, they would feel more at home in a local chippy and not a restaurant. The starters were nice as always.
During the meal we wanted another drink. We had to go to the till again to order. This drink didn’t come for ages until I got up to ask about it. Both girls on the tills were sat down chatting while one girl seemed to be running round doing everything. I’d like to add there were only about 3 tables in the restaurant.
After this we quickly finished and left. The whole atmosphere now feels off and isn’t a pleasant experience.
I had a family meal booked in for next week but I’m cancelling this as if this is the same as today I’ll be too embarrassed after raving about this place for so long.
I also really don’t get the order at the till thing when you still have the same number of staff on to provide table service (we saw 4 waitresses for only 3 tables). It seems to just allow the staff to be lazy? There are also extra screens now in the venue that are so big they take over the room. If this is temporary for the World Cup then fine but otherwise they really ruin...
Read moreBeautiful Desi. I was invited by a friend for a quick catch up on a Friday. Three is a lovely reception area, where you are made to feel welcome warmly. I got there at the very start of the evening, where they were setting up got the evening. Hence, the lovely pics. The kitchen looked busy and pristine, and I recieved a fresh new menu page. The waitresses are friendly and are still wearing masks to minimise Coronavirus issues. They also kept ahead of intermittent cleaning. Now - the cocktails!! I only had one. It was a two for one offer and I had the Pink Gin Fizz. Wwhhhaaaar!!!! It was perfect. The right amount of sweetness, alcohol and lime. Joy in a glass. I couldn't have two and drive, so I have the second one to my friend when she arrived. She wasn't disappointed and is a cocktail lover, but even she could not have that one and another buy-one-get-one-free (which would have made 3) and drive.
The food, was excellent.after seeing the kitchen staff in motion, I was confident of a lovely meal and was not disappointed. I could not fault the food and look forward to coming here again.
This place is big enough to invite friends in announced and still be accommodated. (That's me guessing - as it is a large dining room - but I'll keep this corner off the world updated).
The portions for an all-around Asian mall were large enough for me to bring a third of the meal home and I was not disappointed with the taste, the day after!
TIP: If you're celebrating an occasion and looking forward to cocktails, take a taxi and fill your boots. As far as cocktails go. The was up there with the Aces!! Recipie-perfect!!! Look at the cocktail choices in one of...
