Recently had my hair cut at The Gentleman Barbers next door and I noticed that the staff have breakfast baps from Craig Finch. I entered the butchers just before 12 and had to wait 5-10mins for my sausage and bacon bap due to the equipment being switched off - which was not a problem. The bacon and sausage was very nice, I wish I had asked to have my bacon abit more well done as I prefer it crispy as sometimes the fat can be too chewy and horrible, but was cooked alright for my liking. Reasonably priced at £2.50. Nice selection of meats, cheese, sauces, soft drinks and pastry items. The bap itself was a crusty hard cob, I prefer a softer bap. Overall it was nice. Decided to try some steaks this time so I asked for sirloin steak. The butcher wasn't very friendly but grunted something at me. He told me it would be £17-20 for two steaks. Considering these steaks were under an inch thick. I was very disappointed with the price as I'd get alot more and thicker cuts of sirloin steak the supermarket. When I asked about the price the butcher became arrogant and started to patronise me.
