Visited The Amber Tavern this afternoon just for a quick afternoon drink. The outside is well kept, plenty of car parking, looking fresh and welcoming. Drinks - Served cold and refreshing from the bar. The offer for the drink in the app scanned no problem at all. Staff - The guy who served me was happy and friendly. Didn't have to wait very long to be served. Atmosphere - It is fairly busy for 2pm, but plenty of tables well spaced out so no problem finding somewhere to sit. The O2 WiFi is working fine and no problems working from laptop on it. Only comment is the background music is particularly quiet, didn't really notice it unless listened really hard. Could be up a touch - not to be loud but just to add to ambience as could mask the road noise, grass cutting outside and other peoples conversations. Food - Didn't eat here, but the menu has a lot on it. Looks a more premium from other Sizzling have visited. Plenty to try for next time. Overall, well worth the visit!

We booked a family Easter meal for 9 and oh my goodness did we enjoy it. Staff are so friendly and helpful...nice spacious, clean pub. Great menus lots of choice and our food was cooked to perfection and served by Clare, lovely woman...pleasant,funny,caring nothing was too much trouble. Our table was decorated with a nice runner and flowers,Easter Sunday...we wasn't on a time limit on the table as we've experienced before, just time to enjoy our food, drink and relax with the family...We were there 3 hours! Definitely be back...hope to see Clare again...great asset to the Amber Tavern!...sorry didn't photograph the food but trust me spot on...too busy getting our nose bags on!

As a teetotaller, I don't usually frequent pubs, but Amber Tavern is an exception. Whenever there's a football game featuring our favorite club or the England team I join my mates there and we always have a great time. The atmosphere is electric, making it the perfect spot to watch a match.I just stick to soft drinks but even without alcohol I can appreciate the lively energy and camaraderie that Amber Tavern offers during game nights. It's become our go-to spot for football and it never disappoints.

Posting due to failure to respond by head office from my online complaint and completely ignoring the review left on their Facebook page!

15th December 2017 Absolutely shocking service. I attended a meeting nearby with 2 members of my staff. We decided to give the place a try for a quick Xmas meal treat on our way back to the office and a catch up following the discussions at our meeting. We should of gone with our gut feeling and visited one of the better establishments nearby.

Customer service is shocking. Although not overly busy it took over 10 minutes at the bar to get served as it seemed all the staff were everywhere else but serving customers. We ordered 3 sandwich meals expecting them to be out fairly quickly. No mention of a wait. I even mentioned we were in a rush.

An hour later and the pub had emptied and we still hadn’t received our food. I complained only to be told there was a number of tickets still also waiting so there maybe a longer wait, but the manager would try and get it out as soon as possible. When I said that this wasn’t good enough I was presented with a number of excuses for the delay. The Main one was an xmas party that had booked in was causing the hold up. My issue was that had I been told at the time of ordering we could of gone else where. I asked for a refund which was granted and was told that we would not receive any food and if I wanted to complain then I should do that to the head office. The duty manager at the time was a lady called Caroline who couldn’t of cared any less in all fairness.

There was No regard at all for their mistakes or poor customer service nor the fact my staff had wasted their lunch break and where leaving hungry and disappointed. At the very least the food should of been brought straight out and a full refund given!

As a business owner who travels around the midlands and regularly holds meetings in m&b pubs I’m disgusted. You ruined what should of been a productive and festive afternoon lunch! I shall be taking my staff and clients for lunch and meetings in other establishments from now on!

Avoid at all costs. The food I did see coming or didn’t look particularly...

Went out for a family meal here tonight safe to say it was awful service Waited over 45 mins for cold food and poor quality £17.99 for a rib platter that was no bigger than a kids meal and poorly cooked not to hot held requirement of 63 degrees that’s for sure , a steak dinner that was pure fat not how a rump should be. And my own personal meal the curry platter. Three cubes of chicken on a skewer that was cold , chips were rock hard and cold and the curry had a dark brown skin on it wonder how long it had been sat under the hot plate for definitely not to hot held standing requirements And not to forget the salad which was all brown and wilted and they covered it over with mango dressing to hide it but that failed to work didn’t it. We complained the waitress who said she’d inform the chef and her duty manager and nothing was done. Yet afterwards we called up to try and resolve the matter and all the manager said was why didn’t you say we explained the situation and she was still very rude and exclaimed that “ it couldn’t of been that bad cause you didn’t speak to me despite us explaining what had happened and not to forget they left a steak knife on the floor which we had to sort because we had our one year old son there imagine what would have happened if he picked that up I will be taking this further and please don’t waste your time in this dump not worth the hassle. They have now been reported the FSA ( Food Standards Agency) and they need customer service training never had such rude service in all my life. Very disappointed from a trained chef under Michelin star trainee at La Gavroch. I’ll make sure anyone I know will not visit here and hope they get crucified by...
