I visited this Toby carvery twice recently on a Saturday afternoon. It was easy to drive to, with plenty of parking. In fact the car park, & grounds are well planted with greenery. The outside of the building is in good condition, & the interior design & decor are tasteful, & in good condition. The tables are quite well separated, & comfortable seating. There is a small bar area, & also outide area, probably nice in Summer. It was very easy to book a table on the website, & both times i've been greeted quickly, & in a friendly manner, & quickly shown to our table. The Carvery I consider reasonably priced I think, at £8.29 on a Saturday, (I think it is a bit less on weekdays, & a bit more on Sundays.) plus drinks of course. We didn't need to queue for long to get our choice of Beef, Turkey, Gammon, & Pork, plus a yorkshire, & stuffing, then a range of veg. peas, green beans, carrots, roast potatoes, & parsnips Plus nice gravy, & sauces if required. (You can even go back for more veg & gravy if you can manage any more !! Staff were all friendly & helpful, & the food was just a great roast meal !

I don’t even know where to start talking about this terrible food experience. I ordered a delivery, it arrived under 20 min which was great. But the food was just not edible. They sent us the wrong order, instead of pork and beef I received an extremely dry thin slice of chicken breast, that tastes like it was cooking 8 hours ago. Mashed potato was sweet and nothing else, no buttery flavour or even salt. Gravy was proper cheap gravy, no flavour, only a thick dark goo. Cauliflower cheese? Where is the cheese? It’s just a boiled frozen piece of cauliflower. Those potatoes weren’t burned, it was carbonised. York pudding, one of my favs, was bitter and dry. And I can’t even mention about the caramelised onion pie, it’s just onion and vinegar on a undercooked puff pastry with a slice of cheap goat cheese on top. I understand Sunday roast is a simple meal with simple flavours but if you’re a restaurant that is proud to have one of the best roasts in the country, you definetly need to invest in quality. 32£ for a meal that more than half is in the bin. Really not worth it.

I visited Toby Carvery Quinton on Tuesday and had such a lovely experience. Huge parking available by the way, free of charge, but don’t forget to register your car upon entering the premises. From the moment i walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, even though it was quite busy. The server made sure im looked after and explained everything clearly. The carvery itself was excellent – the roast beef was cooked just the way I like it, tender and full of flavour, and there was a great choice of vegetables and sides. The Yorkshire puddings were huge and crispy, just perfect. Everything was fresh, hot, and replenished quickly, which made a big difference given how many people were dining. What stood out most was the atmosphere – it felt relaxed and family-friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It really made the meal feel special rather than rushed. Overall, it was a great experience and excellent value for money. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommended!

Booked the hotel that's part of the Toby Carvery overnight for a concert; we also had the carvery while there. The carvery was divine. We had never had a Toby's before and heard they were good. We ate around 4 p.m., which is usually late for a carvery; however, it is still one of the best-tasting carveries I've had to date. The meat was juicy and full of flavor (turkey and gammon). The meat had some fatty bits and a few veins in it, which can't be helped, but it did not affect the quality or taste of the actual meat itself. The veg was deceiving; the carrots looked on the dry side yet were perfectly cooked. Roasties were cooked well; you had a choice between ones cooked in beef drippings or not. The stuffing was on the dry side for me, but once it soaked up the lovely gravy, it tasted great. We also had the breakfast, which was admittedly disappointing. The bacon and normal hash browns were dry and on the harder side, and the hash mix had zero flavor; it just tasted like plain boiled potatoes with a small amount over cooked onion and bacon. The Yorkie paired well with the plum tomatoes, which I didn't expect, it soaked up the juice and tasted good. When it comes to the hotel side: when we arrived, it turned out that my request for early check-in never got through. However, the manager checked with housekeeping, and luckily, they were able to shift us into a different room and allow us to check in a few hours early. The room was an accessible room as I'm in a wheelchair. It was spacious enough for me to get around easily. The bathroom was also easy for me to use with the wheelchair; the shower had a seat. The staff were amazing they were super friendly and helpful. The manager was happy and friendly when seeing if he could check us in. Our host was amazing. She was very friendly, polite, and gave off a super positive, happy energy, seeming happy to be there. We had the same host for breakfast and she had the same energy she had the night before, remembering us too which was a lovely touch. Even housekeeping was super friendly and helpful, stopping to have a conversation with us and helping us open a door we were struggling with. The whole place felt warm, homey, and welcoming due to how positive, helpful, and friendly all the staff we encountered were. We will 100% be booking this place again when...

Great Toby to visit, albeit a Sunday afternoon and very VERY busy, the food was hot and fresh!!! My family and I (4 in all) had been to Birmingham SeaLife and we did plan on driving home straight through but as always, the kids an hour in decided they were hungry- in all honesty we took a picnic but the weather has turned and we just couldn't not find anywhere decent to stop!! So we stopped at the Toby Carvery in Quinton. Be prepared for a slight wait- we had to wait half hour- but we knew as parents it was far better to wait than put up with whinging hungry kids in back of the car for 4 hours !! So we were sat in the restaurant within our half hour spot of waiting- the queue for the Carvery was phenomenal!! But we soon found out why- it was simply the best food at a Toby we have EVER had!!! Our waitresses were amazing- really kind and caring especially towards our youngest who has severe dairy and egg allergy- we had two waitresses AND the manager come over to guide us through what the chef would do to prevent any cross contamination which really out our minds at ease- and our son ate EVERYTHING ON HIS DINNER PLATE!!!! We were sat for almost 2 hours with no pressure to leave despite the wait for other patrons waiting to be sat. All in all, great atmosphere, great place, great food, really clean and tidy, amazing staff who you could see work really hard at their jobs, clean bathrooms, just the perfect end to our day out. If we are ever in the area again, we know exactly where we will eat without a doubt- so thank you to the manager and staff and chefs - 5...

Honestly, nothing was great. Having booked, our table wasn't ready for 15 minutes. Then we had to wait in a queue for the carvery over 40 minutes longer in tight, cramped conditions. During this time, the servers paused to clean the trays for 5 minutes in the middle of our party meaning 3 had been served and two had to wait. Surely it would be better to ask who was together? It seemed pointless having a booking system when we didn't get to eat until being in the restaurant for nearly an hour. Also, waiting to be served while people filled takeaway boxes. Not the standard you expect at a restaurant.

And then there was the overall standard of the place. We were seated near the door, two metres away where delivery drivers (as many as 8 at one point) waited to pick up orders.

As for cleanliness, one table by us was left uncleared for 30 minutes with used plates and glasses. Also, the table at the delivery pick up point (two metres away) was cluttered with dirty crockery for an hour. There was also food waste and dirty cutlery on the floor underneath our table from previous customers. I asked for this to be cleaned to which the waitress wiped the waste into the carpet with a serviette but left the two dirty forks on the floor.

The Yorkshire Puddings were hard and overcooked, carrots and peas cold, and the turkey on my plate was dry.

Not the standard I expect from a Toby and it was more like being in a Greasy Spoon or worse, a school cafeteria after a food fight.

I have photos taken to highlight the poor standards during...
