My family and I decided to dine at Turknazz in Sutton Coldfield for lunch, but unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.

Upon arrival, we were the only customers, which initially seemed promising. We were greeted normally and invited to sit wherever we liked. However, from the moment the waitress began taking our order, it was evident that her enthusiasm was lacking. She approached us with minimal energy, and throughout our meal, she constantly stared at us, making us feel incredibly uncomfortable.

Her persistent gaze was unsettling, and despite my attempts to subtly signal her to stop, it was ineffective. Spending over £100 for a meal, we expected a comfortable dining experience, but the service was disappointing. Her lack of engagement and unprofessional demeanor was evident, especially when she openly blew her nose at the bar without washing her hands or stepping away. This display of poor hygiene was off-putting, especially as we were trying to enjoy our meal.

The manager noticed her behavior and seemed concerned, but the issue persisted. Being a waiter myself, I understand the importance of making customers feel at ease, and her constant staring was far from professional.

To add to the discomfort, our lamb seekh kebab was off—it had an unpleasant smell and was not cooked properly. Although we informed the waitress, the resolution was unsatisfactory. The chef merely came out and looked at us without addressing the issue, and no one followed up to check on our satisfaction or offer assistance.

The rest of the food was decent, but the overall experience was marred by the poor service and lack of attention to customer comfort and hygiene.

Having previously visited the Mosley branch, where both the service and food were exceptional, I highly recommend visiting there instead. Turknazz in Sutton Coldfield needs significant improvement in staff training and customer service to match the quality we...

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Turknaz Platter and Family Platter at a local Turkish restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly satisfying and delicious experience. Both platters offered a variety of mouth-watering dishes that showcased the rich flavors and spices of Turkish cuisine.

The Turknaz Platter was a meat-lover's dream, featuring lamb shish, chicken shish, adana kofte, chicken beyti, chicken wings, and ribs. It was expertly cooked and presented, with the lamb shish and adana kofte being particularly tender and flavorful. The chicken beyti, a dish I had never tried before, was a pleasant surprise, with its crispy exterior giving way to juicy and flavorful chicken.

The Family Platter was equally impressive, offering a similar selection of dishes, including lamb shish, chicken shish, adana kofte, chicken wings, and ribs. The portion sizes were generous, making it an excellent value for families or groups of people. The lamb shish and chicken shish were again standouts, with the adana kofte and chicken wings also receiving high marks.

To finish off the meal, we had baklava for dessert, which was crispy, sweet, and utterly delicious. The combination of honey, walnuts, and phyllo dough was perfect, and it was a great way to cap off an already excellent meal.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the Turknaz Platter and Family Platter, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to try authentic Turkish cuisine. The dishes were all expertly prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned, making for a truly satisfying dining experience. Don't forget to save room for...

First impressions were very good but staff were very difficult to understand through their masks. Ordered vegetarian moussaka. Waiter returned saying there would be a wait of 25mins. This was 7pm so not late on in the evening, and there were only four other tables occupied. Would I like to order anything else? Not sure what really was going on here. I did not want anything else and I told him so. He came back again and said it would now be 15 mins wait!!! Normal sort of time  so a little confused. It arrived.....well presented with salad and rice. Very very hot. Obviously well microwaved. The food was very bland and lacked any flavour. Even with the addition of salt was not improved. I didnt complain as there wasn't another dish I wanted and time was a factor. Staff were very pleasant and friendly but kept coming up to check on us too much so it felt intrusive and twice tried to clear our table too soon. We did feel rushed. Would I go again? Probably not. Maybe it was just the vegetarian choice that lacked the flavour but my husband chicken kebab wasn't hot enough, so he wasn't overly impressed either. Just to add, the quantity of food was very good and the bread and dips as a freeby was very nice and I suspect we could have had as much bread as we liked. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely and we sat in the window watching the Sutton Coldfield nightlife emerge ......so an...

My mate and I visited here on a wednesday evening before a show at the town hall. We didnt time things well and left ourselves with 30 minutes to get in and out. We explained this to the staff and were taken care very well. Staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating. We ordered and whilst waiting were brought a basket of thick garlic bread with dips and olives. The red dip was a spicy chlli and then a sour cream one. We both had the chicken shish wrap that comes with various sauces. I had garlic mayo which ran all the way through the wrap. It had crunchy salad in and loads of well cooked chicken. It fell apart and had a nice chargrill on it. The wrap was stuffed full and was filling enough all on its own. The chips were cooked well but felt like store bought frozen ones, i could be wrong though. Drinks came with a little ice bucket. The only real shame was that they brought sashes of sauce. I want to go back and try the big mixed grill i saw at the table next to me and enjoy the meal i didnt need to rush. The wraps were £13.90 each but can not remember full amount we paid. I felt was decent value and well worth a visit.

Me and my husband love Turkish food and culture so it was only right to visit Turknazz for my birthday meal on 12/06 It was a nice quiet evening, the waitress was very attentive and lovely she even complimented me which was very sweet and made my evening that little bit more special. We ordered the Turknazz Platter for 2 and a mocktail while we were waiting we were given complimentary bread and dips with olive which is always lovely. Our food came and it did not disappoint. The presentation, the portion size, everything about it was perfection. Even the salad that came was presented beautifully. The meat was so juicy and tender, the rice and bulgur was infused with so much flavour from the meat, the salad was fresh and the mocktail was refreshing. We left very happy and satisfied 🥰 can’t wait to visit again soon. Would highly recommend to everyone 10/10
