I recently dined at Chelo Persian Restaurant, and I must say, the food exceeded my expectations. The kebab platter I ordered was not only visually stunning but packed with flavor. The koobideh kebab (ground meat) was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the jujeh (grilled chicken) was juicy with a subtle saffron aroma that made every bite irresistible.

The rice was fluffy, with just the right amount of saffron on top, balancing the dish beautifully. The charred tomatoes and grilled peppers added a delightful smokiness, elevating the overall flavor profile. The sides of pickled vegetables and fresh herbs brought a refreshing contrast to the rich meats.

Overall, this dish was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Chelo Persian Restaurant truly delivers an authentic taste of Persian cuisine, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty, flavorful...

I ordered Iranian Authentic Kebab (Chelo Kebab) ). I liked it,it was the most delicious so far in the UK, especially with a piece of oily bread at its bottom which was interesting. The size and amount of food was acceptable. Yogurt and olive was delicious. Just the staff should be more patient in peak times! They shouldn't recommend customers to leave as soon as they eat because of giving service to new customers! And also they should give customers authority to choose their seat! Respect is a key along with food quality. Customers won't come to restaurant just for eat but for chat with friends and making a memorable time with them. restaurant management has been evaluating in peak times! There is potential to earn more scores if they considering customer relationship. I would try there later again and update my score. I recommend to trying Chelo...

We went out later, looking for food, but something different from pizza and chips etc. Came across this quite looking place. It looked clean, and the waitress came to us very quickl. I liked this. She was pleasant, explained to us what was in each dish. Se waited for less than 15-20 minutes as she pfomisec. We had a platter, can't remember now what this particular dish was called. But it was very generous, with rice, chips, 2 selections of kebab meats, chicken pieces about 10 pieces welk seasoned, with a small salad and 2 small pots of hot sauces!! A large slice of naan bread. Delicious! There was enough to serve 3 hungry adults with some left for one the next day. Price of £33 was very acceptable and good value for money. Will be visited there again. Could sit out and eat in a little enclosed area. Quite...

Let me tell you chelo took me back to tehran, even the road " Monmouth Rd" leading to the restaurant was giving the north of tehran vibe which was mystical and out of this world ! It was raining and we were listening to "siavash ghomaishy",up a head in the distance i saw the sign and the surrounding areas was in complete harmony. Ali was the guy who served us and he was an absolute gentleman. Ghormeh sabzy was wonderful, jojeh was amazing, the soup was the best soup I've ever had in UK in a restaurant. Interior was nice and clean . We were the only persians in the house at the time and the place was packed with customers. Ali and the whole restaurant made a great memory of our first visit to sutton coldfield. We'll be back .thank you Ali jan

The koobideh was not well cooked & quite salty. Ghormeh sabzi was fine (1 star for that only). The menu could be more straightforward as you normally get rice/chips with the main dishes in any Persian restaurants (good job I asked or I would've got koobideh on it's own). So, I don't get what the extra hassle of ordering rice separately is all about except that they want to charge the customer more. Also, the waitress was quite novice in understanding the Persian menu & food as I was asking for alternatives but with no result.
