Variety Bites — Restaurant in Birmingham

Been going here intermittently for as long as it’s been open with different owners. Time to leave a review. The place isn’t very attractive but personally I’ve never had any issues with the customer service. Some other reviews here are horrendous but my experiences have been mixed. Place is hit and miss. They charge £6 for a doner baguette and yet stuff it with lettuce and very little meat. Their peri peri chicken was very old. Doner meat and fries were lovely. Pasta is expensive but portion size is small. Below you see the jacket potato which is possibly the best menu item. Toppings I ordered were: mince meat, Cajun chicken, cheese and salad. Total came to £7.50 which is kinda insane. It was nice but the chicken is not well flavoured and is dry. Portion size was massive and surprised me. The place has gone down hill since the two original brothers were running it . Went in for a couple of chicken baguettes the other day . The guy serving me , filled the baguette up with lettuce , a bit of cucumber and onion and then garnished the top with a little bit of chicken , if a wanted a salad baguette , I would have bloody asked for one . The way the use to do the baguettes was , you put the mayo in , with a couple of slices of tomatoes and cucumber , a bit of onion and then a got portion of chicken before garnishing the top with a bit of lettuce and melted cheese if required . Disappointing Experience at This Fast Food Shop I recently visited this fast food shop and was extremely disappointed by the overall experience. The staff were unprofessional and inattentive, showing little regard for proper customer service. More concerning was the lack of hygiene the food preparation area appeared unsanitary, and the quality of the food was subpar. It was evident that little effort was made to maintain basic cleanliness standards, which made the meal experience feel both unsafe and unpleasant.
